Hello,
I'm Tanya Murphy.
Welcome to this moment of Christian meditation where we rest in the presence of God and dwell there.
Today's meditation will rest in Philippians 4,
6.
I will read the passage three times with moments of silence between each reading.
I will then offer a phrase from the scripture and moments of silence throughout the remainder of the meditation,
Ending with a prayer.
Allow yourself to get comfortable.
Take a few deep,
Cleansing breaths,
Allowing yourself to settle into this moment,
Resting,
Being present,
Allowing yourself to let go of the cares of the day.
Now let us begin.
Do not worry about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known to God.
Allow yourself to rest in that scripture,
To settle in that scripture,
That you do not have to worry but in everything you can pray and cry out to God with thanksgiving.
Let your request be made known to Him,
The one who is truly able to meet you at your point of need.
Settling in that,
Trusting that,
Living in that.
Do not worry about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known to God.
Do not worry about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known to God.
Let your request be made known to God.
Let your request be made known to God.
Let your request be made known to God.
God,
Our God,
How excellent is your name in all the earth.
Father,
Thank you for another moment to come before your throne,
To trust you with our lives,
To seek you in our decisions,
To rest our cares and our burdens upon you,
To take up your countenance,
A moment to rest in your presence.
Thank you for your grace,
Your mercy,
Your kindness,
Your kindness.
Thank you for your forgiveness and your restoration.
Thank you for moving and breathing in us.
Lord,
We thank you that we can trust you with everything,
That we don't have to stay up and worry and stress,
That we can lay our cares upon you because you care for us and you meet us absolutely where we are,
But you absolutely don't leave us there.
Thank you for loving us deeper than we could ever love ourselves.
Thank you for restoring the places we didn't even realize needed restoration.
Thank you for moving in our lives in ways that we didn't even recognize we know we needed.
Thank you.
We leave every burden,
Every worry,
Every care,
Every hurt,
Every request,
We leave them at the altar.
And we ask that as we move in our lives daily that you give us grace.
You promised to give us daily grace.
Help us not to get ahead of ourselves.
You only promised us grace for today.
So let us not move into tomorrow on today's grace.
Let us stay present and in this moment,
For we have no idea what you're going to do for us tomorrow.
But we do know that today you'll give us the grace that we need to move through this day.
And we trust you that you will move in us tomorrow.
And tomorrow,
We will take hold of tomorrow's grace.
Thank you for loving and keeping us.
Thank you for giving us hope.
Thank you for who you are.
And thank you that we are yours.
In Jesus name,
Amen.
