We live in a culture that resists slowness, yet God is never in a hurry. Winter teaches us that rest is not wasted time. It is sacred timing. It is faith expressed through stillness. Continuing our examination of Ecclesiastes 3:1 we realize that things moving slowly doesn't mean the time is less important or the lessons less valuable. So rest in knowing that you don't have to rush anything, the Lord's timing is perfect and will accomplish exactly what it needs to. Photo by Tadeusz Lakota, Unsplash Music by Narek Mirzaei

Welcome,

Friends.

Thank you for joining me as we walk restfully together through the sacred gift of rest,

Seasons.

I'm Tanya Murphy,

With Rest in His Presence.

Ecclesiastes 3 and 1 reminds us that everything has a season,

And that includes winter.

We live in a culture that resists slowness,

Yet God is never in a hurry.

Winter teaches us that rest is not wasted time.

It is sacred timing.

It is faith expressed through stillness.

If your life feels quieter right now,

Less productive,

Less visible,

This may not be a setback.

It may be God inviting you to trust him beneath the surface.

You're not behind.

You're being held.

May you release the pressure to rush ahead and rest in the wisdom of God's seasons.

Now sit comfortably and place one hand over your heart.

Breathe in slowly,

Counting to four,

And exhale,

Counting to six.

Gently repeat,

God's timing is enough.

God's timing is enough.

God's timing is enough.

Notice any resistance within you and release it to God.

Rest in silence for one minute.

Thank you for spending this sacred time with me.

Have a wonderful day and rest well.

Thank you Tanya. I appreciate the beautiful words in this prayer, “You’re not behind, you’re being held” — That instead of seeing slowness as setback, I am invited to draw closer to God and to grow in Love.
