Friends,
To week two of the gift of sacred rest,
The Lenten season.
I'm Tanya Murphy of Rest in His Presence,
And this week we will focus on the rest of letting go.
Now,
Bring your awareness to your breath.
Slow it down just a little.
With each inhale,
Notice where your body is holding tension,
And with each exhale,
Imagine releasing that tension into God's care.
Scripture reminds us to lay aside every weight.
What weight have you been carrying that feels heavy today?
You don't need to name it perfectly.
Really,
Simply notice.
As you exhale,
Imagine placing that weight into God's hands.
You were never meant to hold it all alone.
So,
In this moment,
Breathe in trust,
And breathe out release.
Now rest here for just a moment,
And feel lighter than ever before.
Amen.
In all you do,
Do it in love,
And be well.
