Hi,
It's Tansy here with a sleep meditation for when you feel like you're not enough.
Release shame,
Quiet self-doubt and reconnect with your inherent worth.
I will guide you into deep rest as you cultivate peace,
Safety,
Self-compassion and wholeness.
So for now.
.
.
I invite you to make yourself comfortable.
As you prepare to settle into this space.
For relaxation.
Softening into a position.
That feels most supportive for you.
There's nothing for you to get right.
To perfect.
Simply a place for you to release,
To rest and to remember your worth and your wholeness.
You may be arriving here.
With anxiety.
Doubt.
Tension or heaviness.
Or you might not even know.
Exactly why you're here.
Just an awareness that something inside you needs permission to pause.
I welcome you.
However you're feeling.
Wherever you are at this point.
This meditation is not about fixing yourself.
It's about gently letting go of what was never yours to carry in the first place.
It's about returning to that place within you.
That's always known that you are worthy.
Even in challenging times.
No matter what anyone thinks or says.
This is your sanctuary to let go of anything that feels heavy.
As now you will be held by something greater than effort.
And may you remember.
May you understand that nothing in you needs to be fixed in order to be worthy of peace.
And as you continue to settle in.
You can turn your attention to your breath.
Not to change it.
But simply observe.
Let your awareness soften.
As you feel your breath.
Move in.
And move out.
Like the slow rhythm of an ocean wave lapping against the shore.
The water pure and clear.
Each exhale feels like an invitation to release.
To surrender.
To let go.
To cease all effort of trying.
As you feel the surface beneath you that holds you.
You can receive support.
To take the weight of what you've been carrying.
It no longer needs to be held by you.
And now bring your awareness.
To the back of your head.
Your neck and your shoulders.
Is there anything still being held in these places?
Oh tensions.
Or expectations.
Or an unspoken pressure to be a certain way.
Invite them to soften.
Feel a small shift.
As you bring your attention to your jaw.
Your tongue.
The space behind your eyes.
These are places where so many unspoken truths have lived.
The things that have gone unsaid.
The Swallowed Words.
The feelings that had no place to land.
You do not need to speak them now.
You only need to give them space and acknowledgement.
Allowing these places to soften and the stories to dissolve like mist.
Moving up into the atmosphere.
Flowing away from you now as your spine settles gently into this support.
As the space between your shoulder blades widens.
Making room.
Not just for your breath.
But for compassion.
Your chest rises without effort as you breathe.
Let your belly relax.
More and more gently,
You are safe.
To rest.
Safe to be held.
As your awareness floats down to your hips.
Your thighs.
Your knee.
If there's any tension here.
Meet it like an old companion.
Offer it a breath.
A little more space.
You don't have to carry this alone anymore.
There's a softness moving through your calves,
Ankles and into your feet.
As gravity draws you downward.
There's a quiet permission.
Letting you know you're allowed to receive support.
You are allowed to let go.
Allow your breath to continue moving gently.
Your body is still.
Allow yourself to be here without effort or striving.
You are safe to receive this rest.
The settling has already begun.
Your eyes are at rest.
Your eyelashes gently closed.
As if a tiny wave.
Is attached to each of your eyelashes.
There's nowhere you need to be.
Nothing you need to do right now.
Nothing that needs solving.
You've arrived in this moment.
And you are welcome to this practice.
As my voice is your companion as you rest in stillness.
No need to concentrate.
Follow every word perfectly.
Your awareness drifts in and out.
The deeper mind is listening,
Even when your conscious attention softens.
Can flow in and out and that's okay.
With your body feeling relaxed.
Aniopora Sol As you rest here,
I invite you to imagine yourself standing at the edge of a peaceful forest at night.
You are completely safe.
The air around you is calm and still.
Its temperature perfectly comfortable for you.
Above you the moon glows softly through the branches,
Casting patterns of silver light across the forest floor.
Tall trees rise quietly on either side of the path,
Their branches stretching towards the sky.
The trees have stood here through countless seasons,
Steady and unhurried.
And you can sense same stability beginning to grow within you.
As you take your first step along the path.
You feel a soft carpet of moss beneath your feet.
Cautioning each movement.
Ferns unfurl beside the trail,
And you brush past the gentle leaves as you walk by.
You breathe in the clean forest air,
Carrying the gentle scent of pine,
Cedar and amber.
And as you breathe out,
You release a little more of the day.
A little more of anything you no longer need to hold.
And after a while you come across a clearing.
At the center of the clearing a fire glows,
Safe,
Steady and alive.
It crackles softly as you move towards it,
Slowly,
Step by step.
This fire was made just for you.
And beside the fire is a bundle of papers.
You didn't bring them,
But you know what they contain.
They contain the stories you've been told about who you're supposed to be.
The expectations that never really belong to you.
The shame passed down through generations.
Like a secret no one wanted.
But everyone carried on.
Perhaps there was a pressure to prove,
To fix,
To be good.
And as you look at the papers,
You feel their heaviness and you realize how long you've carried these burdens.
So when you're ready.
I want you to kneel beside the fire.
Because you recognize you are ready to let these burdens go.
To loosen your grip and ease into freedom.
So one by one.
You begin to place these papers.
These burdens into the fire.
It's not to erase the past.
To let the burdens be transformed.
Each outdated belief.
Is offered to the fire.
You permanently let go of,
To be released from your mind and body into the fire.
You offer the belief that you are too much.
And you watch as the paper turns to ash.
The smoke moves up into the atmosphere and disappears.
Never to negatively impact you again.
The fire you offer the belief that you are not enough.
The fire you offer the voice that said you had to be perfect.
Be safe.
And as each burden touches the fire.
It dissolves into warmth,
Light and ash.
Permanently gone from your mind and body.
It receives these burdens without judgment.
And in its glow.
You feel something beginning to shift.
Where the shame once sat,
There is now space.
Where the burdens once resided,
There is now rest.
Where the old stories clung,
There is now stillness and peace.
You are lighter now.
No longer crowded.
By what was never yours to carry.
You remain by the fire for a while.
Long enough to feel the warmth.
Long enough to remember that even in letting go,
You are not losing yourself.
You are returning to yourself.
You are remembering and embracing your wholeness.
Returning to the you that was always worthy before the shame.
Beneath the stories.
Beyond the noise.
Let this fire be your witness.
Let this fire be your release.
Let this fire be your turning point.
And now as the fire begins to die down.
It softens into ambience.
There is no more work to do.
No more weight to carry.
You have offered all that was ready and that is enough.
You are safe to be you.
As you turn to walk back through the forest.
The fire fades from sight.
The light and warmth still resides within you.
And as you walk,
You begin to sense an energy.
Not outside of you,
But within.
An energy of knowing.
This energy is like an old companion who knows your whole story and loves you exactly as you are.
This is your self-energy.
The self who has always been there.
Quiet.
Study.
And undisturbed by shame.
This is the part of you that remembers who you are when the noise quiets.
When the burdens drop.
When the doing stops.
And it reminds you.
But you are enough.
That you have always been enough.
This self-energy is here now.
And it's what it feels like to be held without condition.
It's what it feels like.
To be fully seen and loved.
Trust you're being held and supported.
Let that truth settle.
Let it restore what shame tried to hide.
And as you continue along the forest path.
You notice a gentle golden light glowing between the trees.
With every peaceful step.
The light becomes warmer and clearer.
Until you see a small cottage resting quietly between the sheltering branches.
It looks as though it has always belonged here.
Soft amber lights shine through its windows welcoming you closer.
Ivy climbs gently along the stone walls and beneath the windows.
Small woodland flowers rest with their petals closed for the night.
The cottage feels peaceful,
Private and completely safe.
A place where nothing is expected of you.
A little stone path leads you towards the door.
Moss grows between the stones.
You reach for the door and it opens easily.
The moment you step inside.
The warmth of the cottage gently surrounds you.
You close the door gently.
The air carries the comforting scent of cedarwood.
Lavender,
Unclean linen.
Everything here has been prepared for your arrival.
Exactly as you need it to be.
You are shouted here,
Held by the quiet of the cottage and the peaceful forest surrounding it.
Warm pools of lamplight fill the room.
Everything in this room feels calm.
Familiar and unhurried.
You understand that this cottage belongs to you.
As a place within yourself that has always been here.
A place untouched by judgement.
Untouched by expectation.
Nothing from the outside world.
Can disturb you here.
Across the room.
You notice an open doorway leading to a peaceful bedroom.
Everything is on the same level and only a few easy steps carry you towards it.
With each step your body becomes a little heavier.
Your breathing becomes a little slower.
And your thoughts begin to drift.
The bedroom is quiet and softly lit.
Moonlight rests gently upon the wooden floor.
And a small lamp beside the bed fills the room with warm,
Honey-coloured globes.
The window is slightly open,
Allowing the cool,
Clean scent of the forest to mingle with the cozy air inside.
Beyond the glass,
The trees stand peacefully beneath the stars.
Centre of the room is a wide welcoming bed.
Covered with fresh sheets,
Soft pillows,
And a thick,
Comforting quilt.
The covers look warm and light,
As though they've been waiting to settle gently around you.
You move towards the bed and allow yourself to lie down.
The mattress receives the full weight of your body.
The pillows gently support your head and nose.
And as you draw the soft quilt around you.
Its warmth settles over you from your shoulders all the way down to your feet.
Allow yourself to settle into the spaciousness completely.
Feel what your body is like at this moment.
Notice how your mind has become naturally at rest.
The way water becomes when there's nothing stirring it.
Clear,
Present and unburdened.
This is your mind's natural state.
It's always been available beneath the noise.
Feel your heart open and unhurried.
Your heart is simply beating in your chest,
Steady and unguarded.
There is room around it.
Room that belongs to you.
Feel your throat soft and relaxed.
Your throat can simply rest.
And this rest is extraordinary relief.
You are understood by your own body.
You are known by your own stillness.
Feel your hands open and unclenched.
Your hands are simply resting.
And they are still your hands.
Capable and strong and ready,
Even in that openness.
Feel the whole of you resting here.
This calm body.
This clear mind.
This open heart.
This is you.
This is what is already here.
Where the layers of effort are allowed to relax.
You are not building something new.
You are uncovering what has been here all along.
Faithful and patient.
Waiting for exactly this kind of stillness to be felt.
From this place you are natural as breath.
As steady as the ground.
As clear as the still water.
Your body is learning this.
Your nervous system is recording this experience as a felt state.
That can return.
Each time you rest in.
The pathway back to this sanctuary.
Becomes more familiar.
More accessible.
More natural.
Your body is remembering that this is possible.
Rest here.
Simply be yourself at ease.
And let that be enough as you allow yourself to rest.
And drift towards sleep.
Deeper truth begins to emerge.
Not from the mind.
From the stillness beneath it.
You begin to embody this sense of wholeness as you allow yourself to rest and drift towards sleep.
A deeper truth begins to emerge.
And the wisdom of your body.
The tenderness of your emotions.
And the truth that you are enough.
You are whole even as you grow.
Even as you change.
Even as you rest.
At this moment anchor that knowing.
Let it ripple through every part of you.
That imprint in the quiet places.
That once believed they had to be more.
This is your return to all that you already are.
To all that you have always have been.
You are whole.
You are enough.
You are worthy as you rest.
Truth that's always been here.
Settling into the deepest places.
You are worthy of the life taking shape ahead.
You are worthy of the love that has been waiting.
Worthy of your dreams.
You are worthy of all you desire.
This is something your body knows.
Your sleeping mind knows.
Something being written into you tonight in a language deeper than words.
You carry this worth into your sleep tomorrow.
Into everything that is coming.
Every breath carries you deeper.
You are safe.
You are worthy.
There is nothing to hold on to now.
What was heavy has been offered.
What was not yours has been returned.
Now there is only this moment.
This breath.
This quiet space that asks for nothing from you.
Feel how steady your body has become.
Feel how slow your breath moves.
You are safe to rest Let your body grow heavier.
Let yourself melt into the support beneath you.
Be fully held.
Let your jaw soften.
Your eyes grow heavier.
Your shoulders fall even further.
From the weight they no longer carry.
That your thoughts drift like petals on water.
Slow Slow.
Unhurried.
You don't have to follow them.
Just notice them and let them pass.
Your emotions rise,
Let them come.
And be held in the softness of this moment.
Feel yourself drifting now.
As if you're being carried by something larger than your will.
As if sleep is not something you enter but something that gathers you into its arms.
This is a homecoming.
You are returning to yourself.
To stillness,
To softness.
The part of you that was never anything less than whole.
Sleep embraces you.
Let the fire burn on in your memory.
As a continued release.
That your energy stay with you.
Even as your thoughts drift away.
Let this night be a soft one.
Remember.
As you rest now.
Resting deeply.
Resting peace.
