I know,
I know what it's like when you feel triggered,
I know how the swirling noise of thoughts run around in my head,
I know how my heart closes just a little bit and my breath tightens and becomes shallow,
I know that feeling of so wanting to be back in control,
Control of others,
Control of myself,
But I also know now that there is another way,
That you don't have to figure out anything,
You don't have to fix anything,
Just being here in this moment,
With all that has come forth right now,
Can you patiently be with it,
Can you watch it with love and grace,
Can you even befriend it,
Take a deep breath with me now,
Breathing in through your nose,
Out through your mouth,
Again taking a deep breath in through your nose,
Let it go,
It's ok to feel the way that you're feeling right now,
It's ok to surrender these feelings too,
May I remind you that you are divinely supported and looked after,
May I remind you that you don't have to figure anything out,
You can surrender these feelings up onto a power greater than yourself,
You don't have to reach,
You don't have to force,
You can breathe and rest,
Surrender these feelings up now,
Give your heart permission to slow down now,
Imagining that all the reactivity around your heart is slowly melting away,
Allowing your body to gently soften,
Remembering that this too shall pass,
I know how exhausting it is to become so reactive,
But you can let it go now,
And just rest in this moment,
Pausing to take a breath and welcome in guidance that is loving and nurturing,
Whatever it is that has triggered you today,
Just know that by taking this moment,
You can come back to it through a new lens,
Through more gentle loving eyes,
It may look differently to how it looks now,
I want you to know that it's possible to feel freedom from this trigger,
I want you to know it's possible for your entire body to calm down,
Relax and recenter itself back down to the ground with support of your higher guidance,
So ask this higher guidance now,
Please relieve me of these fears,
Please bring me to a sense of peace in your timing,
Not mine,
Please bestow patience within me,
That I may be patient with myself as I move through this trigger,
Please guide me to remain open,
To remain open in my heart and my mind and body,
May I be peaceful,
May I be well,
May I feel the love that is within me when I connect to my higher guidance.
