Take your time to get yourself comfortable.
Let's begin with taking a deep breath in.
Let it go.
Again taking a deep breath in.
Let it go.
My hope is that you will follow the sound of my voice and eventually fall asleep peacefully.
As you lie here,
Let's let go of any expectations,
Any pressures placed upon yourself to fall asleep.
Looking back to that trust that your body will fall asleep when it's ready,
Without effort,
Without control.
Just allowing yourself to rest now.
Letting go of this day.
Letting go of all the interactions you've had.
Letting go of all the things you've been doing today.
Letting go of any thoughts that are coming in right now.
And just gently coming back to the sound of my voice,
Bringing yourself back to this moment,
Right here,
Right now.
See if you can allow your body to soften.
Soften just a little bit more.
Can you relax your forehead?
Your eyebrows?
Your cheeks?
Your mouth?
Feeling your whole face melt,
Soften?
Can you relax your neck?
Relaxing your shoulders.
Letting go.
Letting go.
Letting your arms get heavy.
Letting your chest soften and relax.
Gently bringing your awareness to your belly.
Allowing your belly to relax.
Letting your belly rise and fall with your breath.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Can you allow your hips,
Your pelvis to drop deeper into a relaxed state?
Feeling the support of the earth beneath you.
Can you allow your legs to get heavier now?
Let them sink deeper.
Feeling heavier and more relaxed.
Bringing your awareness to your feet.
Feeling warmth around your feet.
A warmth that moves through your entire body.
From your feet all the way up your legs.
Up your torso and all the way up to your face and the crown of your head so you feel your whole body is now warm and relaxed.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Welcoming in a deep sleep tonight.
Surrendering to the natural rhythm and flow of your sleep.
