In this creative visualization exercise, you're shown how to transfer your worries into garments that you fold away into a suitcase that you leave behind as you mentally travel to a place that rejuvenates and inspires you until you're ready to return and deal with the stress you've left behind.

Hello,

This is Elifay with Sylvanosti and I'm going to guide you through a creative visualization called the stress suitcase.

Imagine a suitcase.

It is probably old and worn,

Leather perhaps,

Set at the end of a bed,

Or a suitcase stand.

Imagine the things that worry you as clothing.

If you're concerned about illness within yourself or a loved one,

Weave that worry into the fabric of a shirt,

Fold it,

And tuck it inside the suitcase.

Do you have concerns about your future?

Don't we all?

Let the fabric of a pair of pants absorb that worry,

Fold it away into the suitcase.

Once you've tucked in all of your concerns,

Close the suitcase,

Click,

Click,

Go to the metal clasps.

You can leave the suitcase where it is,

Pick it up and set it on its side so it's ready for travel.

But whatever you do,

Leave it where it is and go where you can feel refreshed,

Renewed,

Rejuvenated,

And inspired.

Whether that is a walk through the woods where you can admire the trees,

Smell the flowers,

Listen to the birds,

Or a bustling city street with cars driving by,

Voices of strangers filling your ears,

Dogs click,

Click,

Clicking over the sidewalk,

The clink and clack of an open air cafe.

Whatever gives you solace,

Go there,

The suitcase will wait.

Don't return until you're ready to handle the stress,

Because you will be when you return.

This has been a creative visualization with A.

Le Fay from Subonosity.
