Hello,
This is Ayla Faye with Silvanacity.
Let's look at how we can remain calm when our thoughts overwhelm us,
Our emotions seem to become too big.
A calming way to approach what overwhelms us is to imagine water,
Clear,
Still,
Imagine a floating sensation,
You feel light,
Breathing is as easy as in this water,
There may be a ripple or a current but that's okay because we just go and flow.
You may have a thought that passes by,
There's a slim cool fish with fluttery little fins,
We just notice it,
Watch it,
Let it float on by.
Sometimes there's that fish that keeps coming back again and again and again,
That's okay because water can just flow and go and the further away it travels,
The calmer it becomes.
Then there may be another fish and another and another and another until there are so many fish it's hard to even think but that's okay,
You can notice the fish,
You see the shine in their fins,
Water just flows around them and travels on and the further away it gets,
The calmer it becomes.
You feel light floating,
Floating,
Your breath comes easily within in,
Thoughts may come and thoughts may go but you observe them as a feathery fish floating by,
Floating is a wonderful foamy,
Soft,
Light feeling where your breath comes smooth and calm,
Not much to bother you here.
Now there may be a fish or two that comes along and makes a big fuss but it's okay because the water can just flow and go and the further away it travels,
Calmer,
So you can notice that fish and all its fuss but just go with the water,
Flow away,
You can notice that fish and all its fuss but it doesn't matter because you can just flow and go,
The further away you float,
Calmer you become,
Just breathe,
Calm and easy,
Float,
Feel the feathery lightness,
Let go and flow,
You may notice a bubble rising to the surface,
Releasing into the air,
You may feel the warmth of the sun,
Gentleness of a breeze,
Pressing you forward,
It takes you where you want to go,
In this way you can relax and if there is a thought or an emotion that occupies your mind or tunes up your senses,
Then become the water,
Flow and go,
Flow around the thoughts that disturb you,
Flow around the emotional fish that try to overwhelm you and go where you can feel a sense of calm and stillness and float around in a current and when you are ready,
You can slowly drift ashore and return to the world of things to do and places to be but if any moment in that world draws too much energy and you feel tense,
Overwhelmed,
Just close your eyes and imagine the water,
Flow and go,
Here you are calm and able to just notice the things around you and let them go,
And let them go,
This is Ayla Fay with Silvanosity,
Be well.
