Taking a few deep breaths,

Allowing for a long out-breath.

Feel your energy flowing down your torso.

With each out-breath,

To land in a deeper place.

To drop out of your thinking mind into your feeling heart.

Hang out here for a moment in your heart space.

How are you doing,

Heart?

What do you know?

Just allowing your awareness to create more space around your heart.

A safe space.

A sacred space.

Finding some gratitude for the organ that beats every day,

Every hour,

Every moment of your life.

Whether you notice it or not,

It just does.

Because if it wouldn't,

If it would just stop for a minute,

Your physical body as you know it would cease to exist.

Heart continues to do what it does.

Whether someone pays attention to it or not,

It beats.

It has been gifted to you at the very beginning of your existence.

The heart is the first organ to develop.

Sustainer of life.

And the center of love.

For without love,

We also couldn't live.

We would cease to exist.

And so I invite you in this moment to find a way to honor your heart.

To connect with your heart in a sacred way and find gratitude for anything we pay attention to.

Imagine yourself nurturing your heart.

It is there for as long as you live.

Whether you pay attention to it or not.

And you do,

Something magical happens.

Allow yourself to feel loved.

Who is the giver and who is the receiver?

Who is the one that loves and who is the one that feels love?

We are both the divine expressing through us.

The love we are longing for exists all around us and within us.

And as you cultivate that attention,

You walk through life listening with the ears of the heart and seeing with the eyes of the heart.

You will see love everywhere.

You will hear love in the deep stillness of winter.

In the simple crackle of a fire.

In the call of a bird or a coo of a baby.

In the tiniest little first tender green sprout pushing through the hard soil of winter.

And in every human connection.

For even the expression of pain is the other side of the coin of love.

It's the heart protecting or craving.

And so to close this meditation,

I invite you to have a little conversation with your heart.

Thanking your heart for beating for you every single day.

And gently put one hand on your chest to connect in your body.

Take another deep breath,

Feeling your feet on the ground,

Opening your eyes,

And gently come back to this present moment.
