A Meditation to inspire relaxation, imagination and dream, transitioning from Winter to Spring. Imbolc is an ancient Celtic holiday celebrating the very first stirrings of new life–the earliest breaths of spring. Just like nature is beginning to awaken after it's dormant period, we are also reawakening with new dreams and ideas. Great before sleep, or first thing in the morning, to create your day consciously. With music by Ojhro.

Allow yourself to become still.

And take three deep breaths.

Feeling your lungs and your belly all the way on your in-breath.

And letting go with the out-breath.

Pushing out the last of the air from your lungs.

So you can fill them fully with a new in-breath.

And relax with the next breath out.

And as you take life in fully through your breath.

Allow yourself to relax.

And let go.

Breathing to capacity and letting go all of your holding.

All that you're holding onto.

Allows you to land on a place deeper within yourself.

With each out-breath,

Try to find stillness.

In this deeper place within.

Returning to normal breathing now.

Allowing the tension you're holding in your head.

You're holding in your shoulders and your chest.

Your upper back.

Your solar plexus.

And wherever else you hold tension.

To just soften a little bit.

Wherever you detect tension,

Breathe into it.

And with the out-breath,

Let it go.

Let it flow down your torso like water runs down on a tree.

And I invite you to imagine yourself sitting by a big old tree.

Your favorite tree.

Maybe in real life.

Maybe you're creating it right now in your imagination.

Lean your back against its big trunk.

And feel the support.

The strength.

The calmness of this tree.

It has been standing here for many,

Many years.

Connect with the roots of the tree down into the earth.

Feeling how grounded it is.

How safely anchored.

And breathe your own energy down into the earth.

To ground,

To relax.

To connect.

And as you're connecting with the earth and your awareness,

Feel the silence.

The deep winter we're in.

Connecting with the quiet of the dark.

The dormancy of nature.

And yet very suddenly,

It can feel a first steering.

A new life wanting to formulate in that deep,

Dark earth.

Getting ready to sprout up.

And as the light is returning,

It just passed in bulk.

Halfway between winter and the beginning of spring.

And the first sprouts of snowdrops.

And daffodils.

Researching for the light.

And just feel the strength they're drawing from the earth.

This calm,

Deep,

Nourishing strength.

It allows them to slowly,

Slowly push up towards the light.

And imagine your body to be just such a sprout.

Or the dream within your body.

What is the dream?

And wants to become a reality through you?

What kind of a plant are you?

What has your soul come here to become?

Your unique self is residing in this body that was given to you to walk this planet.

And all at once in this lifetime is to express itself,

To find the full beauty and potential that came here to be.

And while it's not spring yet,

The dream is formulating.

Your imagination is invited to listen and find the images of that which you want to become.

It all starts with a thought.

With an image.

With a feeling.

A feeling that resonates deeply at the core of who you are.

What is it that wants to be born through you this year?

What is it that asks to be nurtured and protected so it can grow towards the light?

What is becoming within you?

The more deeply you can connect to that force that is you.

The creative force that wants to be expressed through you.

Can you step out of your own way so it can see the light?

Feel the thoughts and doubts and whats and ifs and allow,

Allow that precious sprout of the flower or the tree that you are becoming to gently,

Gently unfold.

Listen.

And feel.

What it is that brings you deep,

Deep joy and resonance.

And then allow.

This wasn't what I was expecting, but exactly what I needed. A meditation to connect with, and encouragement to listen to, my heart and aspirations to do and be more - both for myself and my soul's mission. I loved this! Thank you!
