TRUE SELF MEDITATION You have a form self or body that comes into existence at a certain point in time and is subject to the laws of matter and time.
This is what you have believed yourself to be.
As pointed by the scriptures and the masters,
You also have a formless spiritual body or self which is eternal and unlimited and is not subject to any of the limitations of matter and time.
Your spiritual self is true power,
Love,
Fulfillment and grace.
Let us begin the meditation.
Please close your eyes.
Become aware of the sense of the form,
The feeling of the body from the head to the foot.
Be aware of the entire form from your head to your foot.
Be aware of the sensation of weight.
Be aware of any other sensations that are arising right now.
Now gently become aware of the space around the form.
Notice that you are aware of the space around the form.
Be aware of the space in front of the form,
Behind the form.
Be aware of the space in all directions,
Left,
Right,
Above,
Below,
In front and at the back.
Notice this dimensionless,
Undefinable space which is around the form.
Notice that awareness is present equally in the form and in the space around the form.
Notice that the experience is undivided,
Whole and complete.
There is no real division between the form self and the formless spiritual self.
Be aware of the silence and the space and notice how beautifully the formless true self is holding the form self.
Notice that the assumption,
I'm only in this form,
Is no longer valid.
You are the form self and you are the formless true self which is holding the form self.
Thoughts arise creating a sense of separation.
They don't really create a separation but they create a sense of separation and a feeling that you are only limited to the form.
As you can see in your direct experience,
You are not limited to the form.
All these years,
Your attention has been contracted and focused only on the form.
Now your attention is expanding and you realize that I'm not just this form,
I'm also the formless presence.
So keep all your awareness on the space around the form and I will keep reminding you.
If thoughts arise,
Do not believe them.
Just move your awareness to the space around the form.
Notice the space around the form.
Notice the space around the form.
Notice the space around the form.
Notice the space around the form.
All your life,
You have given a lot of attention to the form self.
Now let us spend some time on the formless spiritual self.
Notice that the formless space has no boundaries.
Notice that the space has no beginning or end.
Be aware of the silence and the space.
Notice the peace of your true self.
Be aware of the silence.
Be aware of the space.
Know that the true self is holding the form self.
This recognition of your truthful identity is grace.
This is true blessing.
Throughout the day,
Know that your form self is held by the spiritual true self.
All is well.
