Day 8.
Welcome your body and your breath to your meditation practice.
Please find a comfortable seat and sit with your eyes softly closed,
Elongating your spine,
Sliding your head and shoulders back over your pelvis,
And grounding your energy,
Your hips,
Towards the earth.
Tune in to the rhythm of your breath through the nose,
Into the back of your throat as you inhale,
Hearing that sound help to draw your attention inward and quiet your mind.
And as you stay resting on the quality and the rhythm of your breath,
Cooling as you inhale and warming as you exhale,
You allow yourself to become very present,
To gather yourself,
To gather your attention,
Your focus,
To bring all of yourself into this very moment,
Into your seat.
Our intention for today is empowerment,
To sit within the strength,
The energy of our self,
And to allow it to support us,
Particularly in times of need.
The breath helps guide us there and enliven our spirit,
Our energy,
Body.
As the breath comes in a little fuller,
Let it fill you from your foundation to the sides,
To the back,
To the front,
To all parts of you.
As you exhale,
Feel the softening and settling of your body as your breath empties.
Three-dimensional inhalation opens and widens you,
Lifts the heart,
And the exhalation allows that which is no longer serving you to release.
As you sit within the breathing body,
The mind resting on the rhythm,
The body's vertical channel connecting you to earth and to sky,
Give yourself a little bit more time today to listen,
To be guided,
To be reminded from the strength and the wisdom inside of you to know your next moves,
Your next choices.
We'll sit in the heart,
And we can place the hands on the heart,
Pressing the palms,
One on top of the other,
And allowing the breath to widen into the back of your body,
Opening you to the support of the universe behind you.
Allowing yourself to settle into the space inside of your heart in your meditation practice with that knowing that you are connected.
We hold the space in our hearts to grow our most empowered next moments,
Grateful for all the gifts that we already have.
You can let your hands release as you hold connection,
Attention in your heart,
And you can use the help of mantra to stay steady here.
Om Krim Shrim is the bija that guides us into goddess,
Creativity,
The abundance that's available to us,
Om Krim Shrim.
And if you feel that you'd like to use an affirmation,
You can use whatever positive statement allows you to feel more enlivened.
Perhaps it's,
I am healthy,
I am strong,
I am grounded,
I am love.
Whatever it is for you,
Sit within the space of your heart.
And we'll sit in silence a little longer here,
And as you find your mind wandering,
You can just say to yourself thinking,
Notice where the mind trails off,
And remember that your most empowered moments lie in the present.
Bring yourself back again and again,
Even if you have to keep your hands on your heart,
Keep your focus there.
I am healthy,
I am strong,
I am grounded,
I am love.
Om Krim Shrim,
Sit in silence.
Om Krim Shrim.
Om Krim Shrim.
You you you you you you you Very softly allow your breath To expand you bring one hand down to your belly Keep one hand at your heart Feel the natural rise and fall from belly to heart as you inhale And heart to belly as you exhale and just allowing the wave of breath To keep the body feeling Equally grounded and uplifted Allowing the mind to stay connected to that rhythm And then feeling how the heart and the belly communicate with each other How deep inside our center There is that empowered place our gut instincts of knowing And so we learn how to trust our gut To feel Our next moments From this deeper place not just up into the upper body of our minds and hearts but more grounded and and connected Bring the top hand down to the lower hand and just hold your hands and just Holding your belly for one more moment as you keep your attention anchored Whatever your mantra was Today for empowerment Keep that with you throughout the rest of your day And keep checking in and seeing how your belly feels So that it's not in knots when you go to do something but rather open Feeling happy and alive And reach the arms now to the sky deep breath Hands come together and to your heart remembering your meditation practice always is for the benefit of all beings.
Namaste.
