Let's take these next few minutes to calm any feelings that cause you to feel worried or anxious and to release you from the constant overload that our brains are bombarded with on a daily basis.
In today's fast-paced world,
Inner peace and calm are more important than ever.
They help us stay grounded,
Make better decisions and handle stress with resilience.
Yet for many,
Finding that calm is not so easy.
Distractions,
Stress and past pain can make stillness feel unfamiliar and uncomfortable.
Yet even brief moments of peace can bring clarity,
Healing and a deeper connection to ourselves.
Therefore,
Together we will take the next few moments to gently connect with that place of peace and calm within you.
Together we will find a place of acceptance and love and a place that you can return to whenever you need.
Begin by finding a comfortable seated or lying position.
Let your hands rest naturally and when you're ready,
Softly close your eyes.
Now take a deep breath in,
Hold it gently and slowly exhale.
Again,
A deep nourishing breath in,
Hold and release,
Letting go of tension,
Letting go of anything that's weighing on your mind.
As your breath finds a natural rhythm,
Bring your attention inward.
Notice the rise and fall of your chest,
The stillness between each breath.
Notice the cool air entering your nostrils as you breathe in and then the warm air leaving your body as you breathe out.
Let your breath be your anchor.
Inhale peace,
Exhale tension.
Inhale calm,
Exhale worry.
There's nowhere you need to be,
Nothing you need to do,
Just this moment,
Just your breath.
Allow each slow breath in to fill you with a feeling of calm and with each breath out,
Feel the tension leaving your body.
If your mind begins to wander,
Gently bring it back to this simple rhythm,
Inhale,
Exhale.
Peace coming in,
Tension going out.
Now bring your awareness to the center of your chest.
Your heart space.
Imagine a soft,
Warm light glowing there.
This light is your inner calm,
Your deep peace.
With each breath,
See this light expand,
Filling your chest,
Your belly,
Flowing through your arms,
Your legs,
All the way to your fingertips and toes.
This light is gentle and calming,
Like the glow of early morning sunlight or the light from a candle.
It feels warm and safe and comforting.
As it moves through you,
Feel your muscles release,
Your breath slow down and deepen and any tension melt away.
Starting with the top of your head,
Feel the tension leave your scalp,
Your neck,
Your shoulders.
Feel the warm light moving down your back and your chest,
Taking any tension away from your body as it moves through you.
The warm light extends out down your arms and into your hands and you feel that your arms and hands are light as a feather.
The warm light now moves down your legs and into your feet.
It then rests around your toes,
Glowing there,
Protecting you.
Releasing you from tension.
Let this peaceful light rest in every cell,
Every corner of your being,
Reminding you that you are safe,
Supported and held in ease.
Simply be here,
Bathing in this calm presence,
Allowing it to guide you into deeper stillness.
Whatever feelings come up for you through your day,
Know that you have an inner peace and a sense of calm that is there if you look for it.
Even when the most challenging emotions or thoughts arise for you,
Know that it is safe to let them sit there while you use your breath to connect with the inner peace we have tapped into today.
It is safe to make space for these emotions,
But instead of judging them,
Acknowledge them and let them go with an outward breath.
Hold compassion for yourself and release self-judgment.
You deserve unconditional love and you can give that to yourself.
Whatever your experience at the moment,
Accept it,
Knowing that you are doing your best and you are enough.
Know that it is okay to feel this way.
No feelings are wrong.
They are there to guide you.
So let these feelings remind you that now is the time for self-compassion.
Now is the time to connect with your inner peace as this is where you will find the resilience you need to move forward.
You are doing so well.
Anytime you feel overwhelmed or stressed,
Know that this is only one moment in time that you can release when you choose.
If the overwhelm or stress comes back,
View it with compassion and don't fight it.
Resistance will only bring you further away from the peace and calm that you seek.
Remember that this light we have connected with today is always within you.
A quiet space you can return to anytime.
A place of stillness.
A place of strength.
A place where you will always find self-compassion and heart-centered love.
This is your peace.
Peace that is always within you and peace that you can connect with at any moment of the day or night now that you know where to find it.
Let's rest here for a few quiet moments.
Breathing,
Feeling,
Being.
Now gently bring your awareness back to the room.
Feel the surface beneath you.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
Take a deep breath and release it through your mouth.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
Carry this calm with you as you move through your day.
