The Empress tarot card is the number three card in the major arcana tarot deck and is often depicted as a powerful, pregnant woman with a crown of twelve stars and a fitted robe adorned with pomegranates. The number three symbolizes abundance, fertility, and growth. She is seated on a throne bedecked with a luxurious array of cushions and flowing red velvet.

One heart-shaped cushion features the symbol of Venus, the planet of love, creativity, fertility, beauty, and grace. To the front of her, there is a lush field of golden wheat which represents the abundant promise of a coming harvest. Behind her is lush greenery and a waterfall.
