This is really powerful. I've attempted to be a problem solver for my entire life, both personally and professionally. In hindsight I can see that in many cases this is not what was being sought from me. Instead of unsolicited advice which often elicited resentment, I should have been more open to simply listening, with empathy and compassion. This also applies to my own internal dialogue. Thankfully, it's never too late to rise above what had been a knee-jerk reaction.
