There's nothing you need to fix right now.
Just gently arrive into this moment.
Bring your awareness into your body.
Where do you feel this most right now?
Is it presenting as a tight chest?
Butterflies in the stomach?
Tension in the throat?
Just noticing.
And if it feels okay,
Gently give the emotion a name.
Anxiety.
Tension.
Overwhelm.
Without judgement.
Naming it can help create a little space between you and the feeling.
Remember,
You are not your feelings.
This will pass.
Let's breathe through it together.
Take a deep breath into the belly,
Focusing on where you are feeling tension in your body,
And a longer,
Slower breath out.
And again,
Deep breath into the belly,
And out,
Long and slow.
As you continue your breathing,
Imagine your breath like a gentle wave as your belly rises and falls,
Cleansing your body.
Now quietly say to yourself,
If your mind is busy,
That's okay.
You don't need to figure out anything right now.
Be kind to yourself,
Like you would to a friend.
You might even say,
With your name in place,
Step is having a tough moment,
And that's okay.
She will get through this.
Slowly begin to scan your surroundings.
Name three things you can see.
Name two things you can hear.
And one thing you can feel.
Let this bring you back into the present moment.
Let's set an intention,
What you hope to experience today.
For example,
I am open to experiencing moments of joy today.
Let that intention sit quietly in your mind,
Without effort.
Take one more deep breath into the belly,
And a long and slow breath out.
Return to your breath,
Your body,
And a calmer state with this meditation anytime you need.
