Good morning and welcome to this meditation for joy and gratitude.
Find a comfortable position,
Whether that's lying in bed without falling back asleep or sitting up or standing,
Wherever you're at this morning.
Take a moment to notice how your body feels.
Maybe you feel a little stiff,
Maybe still a bit sleepy.
Just tune in without judgment.
Gently close your eyes if you haven't already and bring your attention to your breath.
Let each inhale feel like a fresh start,
Filling you with energy.
Let each exhale feel like a release,
Letting go of whatever came before this moment.
Just breathing naturally and noticing how good it feels to simply be.
Take a moment to appreciate the fact that you woke up today.
Life doesn't promise us mornings and yet here you are,
Alive and breathing.
If it feels right for you,
Place your hands on your heart,
Feeling the steady,
Dependable rhythm there.
Feeling the warmth and comfort that this brings you.
Now,
Breathe deeply into this space,
Letting gratitude fill you that you have another day of possibilities.
Silently say to yourself,
I am ready for today.
Today,
I choose to be on my own team.
I trust that everything is as it should be.
I am here and I am enough.
Let those affirmations sink in and anchor you for the day ahead.
Take a deep breath in,
Expanding your belly and chest fully.
Hold it for a moment,
Then exhale completely,
Letting it all go.
Feel the sense of release and ease as you settle into the flow of your natural breathing again.
Lowering your hands if they were on your heart.
Let your focus shift inward,
Noticing the quiet energy within.
You're stepping into a new day,
A new opportunity to learn,
Grow and experience life,
Including its challenges and imperfections.
Today might bring mistakes or difficulties,
But each one is a chance to stretch,
Adapt and become stronger.
If you have any doubts or worries,
Don't fight them.
Recognize them for what they are,
Your mind's way of trying to keep you safe.
Acknowledge them with love and compassion.
Maybe even thank them and then gently let them go.
Replace them with trust in yourself and confidence that things will work out.
Feel a soft sense of gratitude for yourself for taking this time,
For showing up for yourself today.
Let that expand into an appreciation for this moment and for this life.
As you sit with this feeling,
Allow a sense of joy to rise within you.
Small at first,
Then bigger.
Feel the happiness of being alive,
