Thank you so much for sitting down to do this meditation with me.

I know that being a kid can be hard sometimes and so today we are just going to take a few moments to help you come back into your body to feel happier and to remind yourself of how amazing and what a powerful and awesome kid you are.

So go ahead and get comfy in the chair that you're in.

Just take a really deep breath in,

Fill your lungs up as high as they can go,

As big as they can and then let it out all through your mouth.

Take another really deep breath in,

See how full you can get your lungs and then let it go.

One last breath,

Fill it up as much as you can,

Keep breathing,

Keep breathing.

Okay let it go.

And now I just want you to imagine a beautiful white light that starts at the top of your head and as that light moves down your head just feel yourself relaxing.

Feel it going over your hair,

Your eyes,

Down your face and feel this light relaxing your shoulders,

Your arms,

Your chest,

Your tummy.

Feel your legs relaxing and your feet.

Just take a minute to feel how comfortable you are in your own body.

And now I am going to say a sentence that will help you feel better about what's happening at school or at home or in your friendships.

You might not feel like what I'm saying is true for you right now but by thinking that it's true or believing that it will happen I promise you that things are going to start to change for you.

I will say each sentence and then I'll just give you a couple minutes to say it yourself.

If you want to say it in your head that's fine and if you can say it out loud that's even better.

Here we go.

I am smart.

I am strong.

I will do my very best.

My best is good enough.

I am a good friend.

I choose good friends to spend my time with.

I respect my teacher.

I respect my parents.

I know I am capable.

I believe in myself.

Thank you for saying these sentences along with me.

I want you to know that even if I don't know you I believe in you and I know that you can make all of those things that you just said true.

You are going to have a fantastic school year and I wish you all the best.

And so now you can just slowly wiggle your fingers,

Wiggle your toes and when you feel ready gently open your eyes.
