Hi there,

Soulful mama.

If you are feeling lost,

Like you're drowning in a sea of diapers,

Homework,

And meal planning,

This love note is for you.

When you became a mom,

You had no idea exactly what it would entail.

The sleepless nights,

The endless decisions,

And the constant worry.

And although it is the hardest thing you've ever done,

You wouldn't trade it for anything.

But right now,

You're feeling lost.

Like somewhere along the way,

The woman that you were was swallowed whole.

You rarely have a conversation that doesn't get interrupted by a tug on your arm asking for a snack.

You feel like you're trapped on a hamster wheel with little choice as to the direction and shape your life is taking.

If you are feeling any of these things,

I want you to breathe with me right now,

Mama.

Close your eyes and fill your lungs with air.

And then breathe out and sigh.

This is the beginning of a new moment.

This is where you find yourself again.

This is where you look within and start to get curious about what lights you up.

One of the greatest gifts Motherhood has given me is the knowing that no matter how lost you feel,

You can always find yourself again.

It may feel like we're divided in two,

The mom and the woman,

But even as a mom,

You can tap into your creative and playful side.

In fact,

Your kids will love it.

There is a freedom in creativity and expression.

You can explore old and new interests and hobbies.

Find activities that light you up and cultivate and nourish your creative side.

Get curious and open your mind and heart to what brings you joy and gets you into that creative flow.

You are an amazing mom,

But you are so much more than that.

Take time to let your creativity flow,

Mama.

You don't have to paint or sculpt masterpieces or make dinners that are worthy of Michelin stars.

In fact,

I don't want you to worry about what others think of your creative endeavors.

This is about you.

This is about letting that childlike spirit out so she can play.

Whether you haven't let yourself be creative in a while or you feel like you've never been a creative person,

You can add creative touches to your day in different ways.

Maybe adding a creative twist to a meal or making chalk art on the driveway,

Learning how to play a new instrument or taking a creative writing class.

When you start to tap into this creative side of you,

You get into this beautiful place of flow and connection with yourself.

You're able to tune in and nourish your spirit and have more fun as a mom and woman.

You are worth it,

Mama.
