Hello and welcome to affirmations for the inner child.
This meditation can be listened to before sleep.
Each affirmation continuing to speak to your subconscious as you drift away.
Alternatively it can be listened to during meditation,
Particularly if you are feeling an old wound or trigger come to the surface.
If you feel that some space needs to be held for the child that lives within you and within all of us.
For whatever reason you have felt drawn to this particular meditation today.
Please know that whatever healing you need will take place in accordance with your highest will and good.
Lets begin by getting even more comfortable.
And if you are preparing for sleep,
Ensuring that you are nice and cozy.
Maybe even holding onto a cuddly toy or a soft blanket to help tune into your inner child even more deeply.
Maybe even taking this moment to ask your inner child what it is they want.
What is going to make them feel even more comfortable in this space?
What feels safe and reassuring for them?
If you are preparing to meditate during the affirmations,
Just make sure that your back is fully supported so that you won't be experiencing any discomfort during the meditation.
Tuning into the breath when you feel ready.
Everything is at your own pace so that you feel completely safe and comfortable.
Maybe placing one hand on your tummy to encourage deeper and fuller breaths.
Letting your belly rise with every inhale and drop back towards the spine with every exhale.
Simply emptying your body and then filling it back up again.
And as we breathe,
We are creating this strong mind body connection.
And every deep breath communicates with every cell in the body.
Letting it know that it's safe to relax.
Safe to find peace and tranquility in this moment.
Nothing else matters and nothing else needs your attention.
Apart from this present moment and your inner child within you,
That is just asking to be with you.
That little child is asking for your attention.
For your love,
Your acceptance,
Your presence.
I am safe.
I am loved.
My voice matters.
My opinions are important.
My feelings are valid.
I deserve joy and happiness.
My sadness is valid.
My emotions are always welcome.
I am doing a great job.
I face all my challenges bravely and confidently.
I am a wonderful friend.
I am playful.
I am creative.
I am perfect.
Just the way I am.
I am honest with myself and with others.
I am kind.
My place in the world is very important.
I trust myself.
I forgive myself for making a mistake.
I am always deserving of love and kindness.
I do not have to do anything to earn love and kindness from others.
I always see the good in myself.
I have nothing to be ashamed of.
I can be whatever I want to be.
I am unique.
I am proud of myself always.
I trust myself to make the right decisions.
I release all feelings of hurt,
Anger and shame.
Bad experiences do not define who I am or who I will become.
My value is just as significant as any other person.
I happily receive love and kindness from others.
I am the only person responsible for having my own needs met.
Putting my needs first is not selfish.
I am strong for showing my vulnerability.
I give myself permission to be playful.
It is okay to be different.
I do not need to change.
I am perfect just the way I am.
And happy just the way I am.
I comfort myself always.
I hold space for myself and my feelings.
I do not need to rely on others to find comfort.
I am never alone.
I always have myself.
I am my own best friend.
I love spending time with me.
I love learning more about myself every day.
I love being connected with myself.
I am a wonderful,
Deserving,
Genuine,
Kind and beautiful soul.
And I deserve all the wonderful things that life has to offer.
I am not held by the past and the past does not define who I am today.
At this point,
Maybe you have fallen asleep.
And if so,
I hope you have beautiful and deeply restful,
Nourishing dreams.
What if you have decided to stay aware and alert during these affirmations?
Just begin to bring your awareness back into the room.
Maybe taking some time to write down which affirmations really spoke to your inner child.
Which ones made you feel the most connected or the most emotional?
The most important thing we do now is give ourselves a big hug.
Wrapping our arms around ourselves.
Taking a deep breath and just closing with a final affirmation.
I love me.
