This time of year often brings extra stress for a lot of people,

Whether it's Thanksgiving,

Holiday prep or simply the end-of-year energy.

Maybe you can relate.

So I wanted to share three simple things that work when you feel overwhelmed or when things begin to feel a bit too much.

Number one.

Stop and breathe.

When your energy starts spinning fast,

Pause for a moment.

Take a few deep breaths.

Yes,

I know it's simple,

But it's so powerful.

You bring yourself back to center and it can shift everything.

Number two.

Dig a little deeper.

Once you're taking the breath,

Ask yourself,

What am I really stressed about?

Most of the time it's a mixed of all sorts of things.

And when you stop for a moment and you look,

It becomes clearer.

And clarity alone can help calm your nervous system.

And you might even realize that half of what you're feeling isn't even yours.

You are a being of energy and you are absorbing energies around you constantly.

That's why clarity is relevant.

Number three.

Come back to what truly matters.

So once you see what's underneath,

Check in and ask yourself,

Why am I doing this?

What's actually important to me right now?

It's so easy to get lost in trying to make everything perfect.

The meals,

The plans,

The gifts,

Whatever.

That's a lot of pressure.

And when you are stressed,

You're not even enjoying the moment.

So come back to the heart of it.

What's really important?

What doesn't matter?

And obviously these three things work for any situation and any time of the year.

But they're especially helpful during this time.

So I invite you to take a deep breath,

To slow down,

And to focus on what really matters to you.

And remember to have fun.

Much love.
