Close your eyes gently and take a deep breath in through your nose and a slow release through your mouth.
Repeat this two more times,
Allowing each exhale to release any tension you may be holding.
Now,
Let your breath settle into its natural rhythm.
Allow it to flow effortlessly,
Feeling the air fill your lungs and nourish your body.
As you breathe,
Bring your attention inward.
Notice how you feel in this very moment.
There's no need to judge or change anything.
Simply observe.
Consider what it might feel like if you didn't succumb to the belief that something had to change before you were worthy of your own love and compassion.
What if your weight didn't have to be any different?
What if your skin was already perfect?
What if your hair was beautiful as it is?
What if your house,
Your career,
Your relationship or your relationship status was good enough right now,
In this moment,
Without anything needing to be altered in any way?
I want you to imagine the energy that you currently spend wishing for your life to be different,
Which,
To be clear,
Is not the same as gravitating towards your dreams by way of affirmation,
Visualization and action.
The energy I'm referring to are those wasted moments that are never alchemized into anything good.
Instead,
They're like a heavy cloak of shame that you wrap around you each day,
Berating yourself for all the ways you think you are failing or falling behind.
What if you could pour that precious energy into accepting yourself rather than criticizing yourself?
Inhale,
I am already enough.
Exhale,
I let go of my inner critic.
Inhale,
I am already lovable.
Exhale,
I release doubt and shame.
Imagine a warm golden light surrounding you.
This light represents compassion and acceptance.
As you breathe deeply,
Envision this light growing larger,
Enveloping you in a cocoon of love.
Feel its warmth against your skin,
Calming you and reassuring you.
Inhale deeply,
Inviting the golden light in.
As you exhale,
Release any negativity or self-doubt that may linger.
Picture those thoughts dissipating like mist in the morning sun.
With each breath,
You invite more love and acceptance into your heart.
Inhale,
I am worthy of love.
Exhale,
I make space for kind thoughts.
Let each affirmation echo through your mind and heart.
As you continue to breathe,
Reflect on what it means to love yourself without adding any conditions.
Think of the unique qualities that make you who you are.
Your strength,
Your humor,
Your sense of compassion or your nurturing heart.
If any negative thoughts arise,
Gently acknowledge them,
Then let them go.
Return your focus to the golden light which continues to wrap around you,
Bolstering your spirit and filling you with warmth.
Each time you recognize a thought that doesn't serve you,
Replace it with love,
Understanding or gratitude.
Now,
Visualize yourself standing in front of a mirror.
Instead of focusing on floors,
See the building in front of you.
Beauty and light in your eyes.
Acknowledge every part of you,
Physical,
Emotional and spiritual,
As deserving of love.
Allow yourself to smile at your reflection.
Hold this image firmly in your mind.
As you prepare to conclude this meditation,
Take a moment to express gratitude.
Thank yourself for taking this time to cultivate self-love and acceptance.
This is an investment into your well-being.
Be proud of yourself.
When you're ready,
Gently bring your awareness back to the present.
Wiggle your fingers and toes,
Feeling the energy flow through your body.
Slowly open your eyes,
Allowing the golden light to stay with you.
Carry this feeling of love into your day,
Knowing that you are enough,
Just as you are.
Breathe deeply one last time,
Taking in this moment of connection with yourself.
