Hi,
I'm Sina and this tapping meditation is there to help you unwind after a busy workday.
It's for those moments when work is technically over but you still feel switched on.
Maybe your mind is looping around work topics and your body is holding tension.
This tapping meditation is meant to support you in leaving work at work so you can be present and enjoy your free time in the way you want to.
If you are new to tapping,
During this meditation we'll gently tap on certain points on the face and upper body while giving space to what we are feeling and also inviting in what we'd like to experience instead.
You can simply follow along by tapping on the points I mention and repeating the phrases out loud.
And if anything I say doesn't resonate with you,
You can simply rephrase it in your own words or just let it pass.
And remember to take care of yourself and listen to what you need.
You can pause at any time if anything feels like too much,
Take a few breaths,
Get some water or whatever feels supportive for you in that moment.
Now let's begin.
Find a comfortable seated position and for a moment just notice your body.
Notice the areas where your body touches the ground.
Notice the weight of your body and the shape of your body.
Can you feel where your body ends and where space begins?
Just gently explore the whole field of your body.
And notice how your body can bring you into the present moment when you give it your attention in this way.
And from here we'll begin tapping on the side of the hand that is a soft fleshy part underneath your little finger and you can decide if you want to tap on the left or on the right hand.
And while we tap,
Please repeat after me.
Even though I just finished another workday,
I know it's over now,
It's in the past,
And it still feels hard to switch off.
And right here and right now I choose to be okay anyway,
Even though it feels hard to switch off after work and my mind keeps going back to it.
And that's annoying.
I choose to have compassion for myself for how difficult it can be to just be present,
Even though here I am in my free time and I'm still carrying some of the stress from work,
The thoughts,
The energy of the day.
And I choose to accept that this is what I'm feeling right now and I'm open to softening a little bit.
And we tap on the inside of the eyebrow,
The point where the eyebrow begins.
Here I am in my free time,
Still thinking about work,
Outside the eye.
I know it's over,
It's in the past,
Under the eye,
But it's still present in my mind under the nose,
All these thoughts.
My mind keeps going back to work.
Chin.
From one thing to the next.
Collarbone.
It's really hard to switch off.
Under the arm.
And that's frustrating.
So frustrating.
Top of the head.
I don't want to think about work right now.
Inside eyebrow.
I want to enjoy my free time outside eye.
Without thinking about work.
Under the eye.
Without feeling stressed.
Without worrying about work.
Under the nose.
I want to be present and feel good.
Chin.
I not feel like I'm switched on all the time.
Collarbone.
And maybe I can begin to let go a little.
Right here and now.
Under the arm.
I've done what I could for today.
And now is my time.
Top of the head.
My time to do what I want.
To switch off,
Unwind and recharge.
Inside eyebrow.
And so I'm allowing my body to relax.
I allow my body to relax.
Outside the eye.
Letting my shoulders soften.
I allow my shoulders to soften.
Under the eye.
And I let my breath slow down.
Allowing my breath to slow down.
Under the nose.
And I let my jaw soften.
Allowing my jaw to let go.
To release the tension and to soften.
Chin.
And I notice how nice it feels to come back into my body Collarbone.
To come back into this moment.
Under the arm.
Gently releasing thoughts about work.
Top of the head.
This is my time.
My precious time.
Inside the eyebrow.
And so here I am.
Outside the eye.
Feeling already a little lighter.
Under the eye.
A little more grounded.
A little more present.
Under the nose.
And I give myself permission to switch off.
Chin.
I choose to be here now.
Collarbone.
I choose what feels good for me.
And whether that's resting,
Meeting friends,
Reading a book.
I choose what feels good for me right now.
Under the arm.
Allowing myself to unwind and recharge.
In all the ways that I need.
Top of the head.
Coming back to myself.
One tap at a time.
And here we stop tapping.
For a moment bring your awareness to your body again.
Simply noticing what's present and alive right now.
Just notice.
Notice if anything feels a little different.
Even if it's just a small subtle shift.
Maybe there's a little more space.
A little more softness.
And whatever you're experiencing right now,
That's okay.
You've taken this time to support yourself.
To begin letting go of the day.
So your mind and body can switch off and leave work at work.
And that matters.
And from here you can gently move into your evening,
Into the rest of your day.
At your own pace and in your own way.
And allowing yourself to rest,
To nourish,
To recharge.
And to be in all the ways you want to be.
Thank you for tapping with me.
Namaste.
