Hi,
My name is Sina,
And I'm looking forward to guiding you through this tapping meditation,
Which is here for those moments when everything we're feeling feels like too much.
When there's all these emotions that feel overwhelming and perhaps you're not even sure what it is that you're feeling,
But it just feels like a lot.
So,
In this tapping practice,
We'll use tapping to gently clear some of that overwhelm,
So you can reconnect to yourself,
Feeling more grounded,
Calmer,
And really put yourself back in the driver's seat of your life and not these emotional waves,
These ups and downs.
And this is not to push our feelings or emotions away,
But rather to recognize what's there right now and to process it gently.
We'll be tapping with our fingertips on certain points across the upper body,
And I'll be guiding you step by step through the whole sequence,
So you can just follow along.
While we tap,
We focus on what we would like to change and release,
And we do that by saying it out loud.
I invite you to repeat my words,
But really,
If there's anything that doesn't resonate with you,
Please don't force yourself.
You can just change it into your own words or leave it aside.
Now before we begin,
Please take a moment to settle in the present moment.
And you can do this by placing your awareness on the whole field of your physical body.
Notice any sensations,
The aliveness of your body,
The denseness and weight,
How it's grounding you in the here and now,
Where nothing needs to be fixed.
Now just notice the intensity of the overwhelm you're experiencing right now,
The emotional overwhelm.
Just observe it for a moment,
And then give it a number between zero and ten,
Where zero means really no intensity,
I feel calm and grounded,
And ten is the highest intensity you can imagine.
And there's no need to judge this number,
Simply notice it.
And having that awareness in your mind,
We'll begin tapping.
And we start tapping on the side of the hand,
That's the fleshy part underneath your little finger,
And you can decide whether you want to tap on the left or the right hand.
And as we tap together,
Repeat after me.
Even though I feel overwhelmed,
There's just so much going on and it's hard to focus.
I choose to have compassion for myself for how hard this is right now.
Even though I feel overwhelmed,
My heart is racing,
I'm tired,
Maybe even a little dizzy.
And even though I feel this way,
I choose to be open to finding calm,
One tap at a time.
Even though I even do feel a bit guilty for feeling overwhelmed,
Like I should handle this better,
And right here and now,
I choose to give myself permission to pause and take care of myself.
And we tap on the inside of the eyebrow,
That's where the eyebrow starts.
I feel overwhelmed.
Outside of the eye,
So many emotions.
Under the eye,
It's quite a lot and it's messy and strong.
Under the nose,
All these emotions.
Chin,
They just pull me along and I can't get my feet on the ground.
Collarbone,
No wonder I feel overwhelmed.
Under the arm,
It's like a flood of emotions overwhelming me.
Top of the head,
And even though I don't like it,
I choose to notice what's here and that's overwhelm.
Eyebrow,
I can't even name it all.
Outside of the eye,
Not exactly sure what I'm feeling or why.
Under the eye,
Just a whole big wave of emotions.
Under the nose,
It makes me feel dizzy.
Chin,
My mind is spinning.
Collarbone,
My heart is racing.
Under the arm,
There's tension and tightness all over my body.
Top of the head,
It's my body showing me I am overwhelmed.
Eyebrow,
It's hard to focus on anything.
Outside of the eye,
My mind is looping.
Under the eye,
My body is restless.
Under the nose,
I can't think and feel clearly because I'm so overwhelmed.
Chin,
All these emotions are flooding me.
Collarbone,
And I feel stuck with this.
Under the arm,
Emotions,
They are here,
Moving through me.
Top of the head,
I recognize it's hard for me to feel them all.
Now here,
Let's take a moment to pause,
Stop tapping for a brief moment,
And just bring your awareness back to your body.
See what's alive and present right now.
And if you rated the intensity of what you're feeling in the beginning,
You may want to check in again if you're feeling the same intensity.
Just recognize if it's the same number or if it has shifted.
And keeping that number,
That intensity in the back of your mind,
We'll continue tapping.
Inside of the eyebrow,
Even though this overwhelm feels uncomfortable,
Outside of the eye,
I am open to finding a little safety right now.
Under the eye,
So many emotions are moving through me right now.
Under the nose,
What if I just observe and let them pass by?
Chin,
It feels hard,
But I trust that my body can handle all these sensations.
Collarbone,
And right here now,
I give it a chance.
Under the arm,
I am here breathing and tapping.
Top of the head,
And allow all these emotions to do what they are meant to.
Eyebrow,
Flowing through,
Moving.
Outside of the eye,
They can just be here for now.
Under the eye,
They are just visiting,
And that's okay.
Under the nose,
There's no need to hold onto them.
Chin,
Or even fix them.
Collarbone,
I'm still here breathing and tapping.
Under the arm,
And simply allow them to move through.
Top of the head,
Like waves in the ocean.
Eyebrow,
My body knows what to do.
Outside of the eye,
And I can lean back.
Under the eye,
And I watch the wave begin to soften.
Under the nose,
There's a little more space in my chest.
Chin,
A little more breath.
Collarbone,
I feel the ground beneath me supporting me and carrying me.
Under the arm,
These emotions are settling,
My mind is quieter.
Top of the head,
And I am here,
In this very moment,
Choosing to be gentle with myself.
And we tap again on the side of the hand,
Even though I've been feeling flooded by emotions.
Right here and right now,
I choose to have compassion for myself.
I choose to trust in my ability to feel and to release.
And I choose to let these emotions move through,
Safely,
Gently,
And in their own time and space.
And you can stop tapping now.
Just rest your hands anywhere that feels good for you.
And take a moment to pause.
Notice your breath,
Just as it is,
Right here and right now.
Feel your body supported by the earth.
And perhaps you sense a little more space inside.
And if not,
That's also completely okay.
Emotions move in their own time and rhythm,
And you're already doing your very best to support that process.
And if you'd like,
And it feels right for you,
You can repeat this sequence either now or later on.
Or simply pause,
Rest,
Have a sip of water,
And trust that things are gently moving for you.
And when you're ready,
Bring your awareness back to the room and the space around you.
And carry this sense of grounded presence with you into whatever comes next.
I wish you a beautiful day.
Namaste.
