I'm going to guide you on an inner journey connecting you to a very safe place within yourself.
Connecting in with your breathing,
Taking in a nice deep soothing breath.
And as you exhale,
Just allowing for a little bit of tension to leave your body,
More comfortable resting,
Closing your eyes.
Closing your eyes and resting your attention to the gentle rise and fall of your breathing.
I would like you to allow for your thoughts to drift comfortably and easily to pleasant images and experiences.
Giving yourself some time to open up,
Allowing for your imagination to guide you to create a beautiful safe place within.
And so each day,
Each time you connect in in this quiet way,
You're connecting with an inner security and inner safety,
A sense of wellbeing can just blossom forth,
Spending time within a gentle place,
A place where you feel safe and comfortable.
And so as you settle into this experience now,
Your body responds relaxing well.
As you exhale,
Breathing away the tensions or worries and finding it easier for your mind and your thoughts to drift to pleasant experiences,
Pleasant times,
Happy times.
And it's important for you now that you have this sense of reassurance that everything is all right in your life.
So you can get that sense now,
Yes,
Safe,
Calm,
Soothing time for you.
And as you connect into that sense of safety,
There arises within you a sense of understanding,
Giving meaning to the events in your life.
Your thoughts drifting more easily to positive thoughts and images of yourself and your life.
And so as you connect in with that sense of purpose,
A sense of wellbeing,
You can take your gaze to the future,
Hopeful,
Bright.
And so allowing for that sense of wellbeing to flow forward into the future for you.
Just as you can rest into this gentle rise and fall of your breathing,
Soothing,
There can be that sense of emotional wellbeing.
And I wonder what your place appears to you as today,
Where it has all those many splendid things there that you enjoy,
That you love and appreciate.
And that sense of knowing that you can listen and accept your emotions,
Sometimes intense,
And that that passes,
Coming back to a sense of a steady self.
Steady,
Calm and strong.
And in that lovely,
Quiet place within yourself,
You can recognise your inner strength.
An inner strength that grows stronger each day.
And as you feel that sense of hope for your life,
That it begins to be easier and easier for you to come back to this peaceful place within.
And so you can recognise this inner strength growing within you.
You are stronger now than you've ever been before.
You are stronger now than you have ever been before.
Allowing yourself some time now to drift easily and comfortably within your safe place.
A time to rest.
A time to connect in with your inner strength.
That's good.
And now beginning to reorientate yourself back into your body.
Feeling again the gentle rise and fall of your breathing.
Noticing other muscles in your body of feeling.
Bringing with you that sense of wellbeing,
Feeling refreshed and invigorated as you open your eyes.
