Welcome to this mantra sound yoga practice.
I'm in the incredibly beautiful California region of Palos Verdes and I look forward to sharing this chant.
To the mother,
To the protective energy of Durga.
It's wonderful to practice mantra at any time,
But particularly in nature because the sounds of the Sanskrit syllables connect with cosmic frequencies and the sounds of nature.
The invitation in this chant,
OM DUM DURGA YAI NAMAHA.
Is that there are a number of activation points on some of the consonant sounds,
The d sound.
Durga.
Namaha.
We're hitting position.
Pool.
The dental position,
So you feel for that spot behind your top front teeth with the tip of your tongue.
That's the point we're aiming for on those sounds,
Duh.
And nuts.
Just bringing a little bit of nuance and refinement to help us activate the energy pathways and to tune us.
To the power.
That is.
The energy of those sounds.
Finding a nice comfortable position.
Maybe closing the eyes.
Letting yourself attune to the sounds around you.
To the breath.
Rhythm.
That is inherent in you.
The flow of your own breath.
Your own pulse.
When we start to quiet,
Maybe we start to come into a little bit more alignment with the unique resonance of our own signature.
Not pushed by other people's rhythms and timings and the collective,
But starting to tune into.
Ah,
There I am.
Listening.
This is a deep listening practice.
Om.
Doom.
Durgaiyai.
The Sanskrit sound,
Durga Yaya Namaha.
Om Dvom Durgaya Namaha.
And precise with that connection.
In the palette.
Aum Durgaya Namaha.
Aum,
Dung Durga Ya Namaha Om Dumnam Durga Yaya Namaha Om.
Doom.
Durga Yaya Namaha Om.
Doom.
Durgaya Namaha.
Aum Durga Ya Namaha Home.
Boom.
Durga Ya Namaha Aum God Bless.
Doom.
Durga Yaya Namaha Om.
Durga Yaya Namaha Om Tum Durgaaya Namaha be in the field of the sound that you've generated within and without.
Inhale for one ohm.
Namaste.
