Welcome to this sleep-promoting meditation.
In this session,
We'll drop into a deep,
Restful state,
Preparing our mind and body for a peaceful night's sleep,
Finding a comfortable position,
Either lying down or seated,
And gently closing the eyes.
Let's begin by taking a few deep breaths.
Inhale deeply through the nose,
Hold for a moment,
And a long,
Slow exhale through the mouth,
Letting that long,
Slow exhalation start to signal to your mind and your body and your nervous system that this is an opportunity now for a deep let go.
Let go of any tension or stress with each exhale.
Breathe in peace,
Breathe out stress,
Breathe in relaxation,
Breathe out the busyness.
And imagining yourself now under a waterfall of light,
Blazing electric violet energy,
Cascading from the infinite,
Flooding through your system,
Through your body,
Your mind,
And all parts of your energy system.
And let this deeply cleansing shower of light dissolve from your system any stress and static and busyness from the day,
And focusing your intention to start to release all of the inner pressure,
Any agitation,
Slowing down the business of the mind,
Bringing your awareness to the body,
And starting with your toes and slowly,
Slowly work your way up,
Noticing any areas of tension.
And as you focus on each part of your body,
Inviting a deepening of the softening and relaxation,
Softening through the ankles and the calves,
Breathing out through the back of your knees,
Feel the legs growing heavier and sinking into the surface beneath you,
Bringing this wave of relaxation up through the legs,
Your hips,
And abdomen.
With each exhale,
Letting go of the day's pressures and worries and releasing any tightness,
Softening through the back and your shoulders and arms,
Loosening,
Relaxing,
Letting any inner tension dissolve like butter melting.
As you bring the wave of relaxation up from your abdomen through the point at the bottom two ribs,
Through your heart and chest region,
Up through the neck and into the face,
Just be aware,
Are you holding any tension here?
Just softening through the jaw,
Let the tongue relax,
Imagine your eyes just softening a little bit more into the sockets.
Imagine you can release through the ears and the scalp any tension.
And breath in and breathe out now through the whole back of the body and let that electric violet light dissolve any clouds of energy from the day,
Releasing the past.
Letting your system come into a state of ease.
And now imagining a beautiful,
Warm,
Glowing light just above the head,
Nurturing,
Soft,
Comforting,
Like beautiful rays of the sun at dawn.
And as this moves downwards,
Let it dance through the crown at the top of the head,
Bringing with it a sense of deep calm and let the warmth of the light move now down through the crown and the top of your head,
Flooding the face and the jaw and the throat,
Coming down from your head to the neck,
Filling you with a soothing,
Tranquil energy.
And as it passes down through the shoulders and the arms and the chest,
Let it evaporate any remaining stress.
Let the light continue down through the abdomen and the legs and finally flooding all the way to the tips of your toes,
Completely enveloping you in a cocoon of relaxation and peace.
You are safe.
Internally affirming,
I am safe.
I am calm.
I'm ready for a deep,
Restful sleep.
Let the breath continue to be soft and gentle.
Let the exhale be nice and deep and slow.
And imagining yourself in a place of peace where you feel completely at ease,
Wrapped in a warm embrace,
Maybe the beach,
Maybe nature,
Maybe your favorite quilt,
A beautiful forest,
A cozy room with a crackling fireplace.
Wherever this place is,
Allow yourself to fully immerse in the tranquility.
Know that right in this moment,
This moment,
There is nothing for you to do,
Nothing you need to worry about.
The day is done.
Gently letting go and surrendering yourself to the beautiful and peaceful and restful embrace of sleep.
Asking your team of guides,
Teachers and friends who love you unconditionally in the spiritual dimensions to protect you,
To guide you.
As you enter into the realm of sleep,
May we be looked after for our highest and best good.
And as you drift further into relaxation,
Let your thoughts begin to fade.
If any thoughts arise,
Simply notice and let them float away,
Like clouds passing.
I am calm.
I am safe.
I'm ready for sleep.
And I trust and know that I will awaken feeling refreshed,
Rejuvenated and at peace.
