Shilpa has been deeply immersed in the practice of yoga for over a decade, with a strong emphasis on asana practice and meditation. Her journey began as a personal quest for balance, discipline, and inner peace, but over the years, it evolved into a deeper connection with Indian philosophy and a desire to share its wisdom with others. This passion led her to undertake a 200-hour teacher training, equipping her with the knowledge and tools to guide others on their own yoga paths. Beyond yoga, Shilpa is also a trained Bharatanatyam dancer, an art form rooted in the Natya Shastra, the ancient Sanskrit text often referred to as the fifth Veda. The rigorous practice of Bharatanatyam—requiring unwavering discipline, breath control, and physical endurance has greatly complemented her yoga practice. Professionally, Shilpa is a seasoned Software Product Manager with over 12 years of experience navigating the fast-paced corporate world. She understands firsthand the pressures, demands, and challenges that come with high-stakes decision-making and constant innovation. In the midst of this stress, yoga has been her anchor, providing clarity, resilience, and emotional balance. Now, with a deep calling to share these transformative tools, Shilpa extends her knowledge to the Insight Timer community.
