Fear can be the greatest obstacle many of us ever face.
When our ego is in control and writing the script of our lives,
We often have this worst case scenario playing out in our heads,
Rattling around in our brains.
Very rarely in life does the worst possible case scenario ever play itself out.
Yet if we're fearing the worst case scenario,
That fear can stop us from reaching our goals,
Achieving our dreams,
And most definitely can keep us from enjoying our lives to the fullest.
Today I want to give you some tools to help you take the sting out of fear and switch from letting your ego write the script of your life to letting your higher self write the script of your life.
For this meditation,
I invite you to find a comfortable place to sit and then root your tailbone down towards the earth and send the crown of your head up towards the sky,
Lengthening the spine.
Once you are settled,
Let's take two clearing,
Reset breaths.
As we inhale,
Shrug the shoulders up towards the ears.
Exhale,
Sigh out the mouth and release the shoulder blades down your back.
Inhale again,
Shrug the shoulders up towards the ears.
Exhale,
Sigh out the mouth,
Releasing shoulder blades down the back and even bring the shoulder blades up a little bit closer together behind your heart to open the lungs,
The heart,
The chest.
With your eyes closed,
I invite you to join me on a little journey where we face the worst case scenarios,
The fears that have been playing out,
Rattling around in our minds.
We're not going to dwell in this place of negativity,
But rather we're going to bring those fears to the surface so that we can fully face them,
Process them,
Take the sting out of them and release them.
For just a moment,
I want you to think of a big fear that is holding you back,
Either keeping you from reaching a goal or a dream or a fear that's keeping you from enjoying your life to the fullest extent.
Take a moment to really let that worst case scenario fear play out fully within your mind and your mind's eye.
Let the ego write the script of that worst case scenario playing out.
As you are playing out this worst case scenario,
Notice the emotions that come up for you.
Observe where you feel the fear most potently in your body.
Where does that fear of the worst case scenario hang out in your physical body?
Immerse yourself fully in the worst case scenario playing out mind,
Body,
Spirit,
Emotions.
Then I invite you to start to take the sting out of that fear with a simple acupressure exercise.
Even with your eyes closed,
Take your right index finger and press it rather firmly right into the center of the forehead.
This energy point links with our third eye and is very specific to helping us overcome the emotion of fear,
Helping us lessen its grip.
Just continue pressing there,
Perhaps even taking a clearing breath or two,
Breathing deeply in through the nose,
Sending the breath right up to the third eye,
And then sighing out the mouth,
Letting it go.
Beautiful.
Now with your eyes still closed,
I invite your higher self,
Your soul self,
To step in and take over the writing of the script rather than your ego dictating what's happening.
I invite your higher self or soul to step in and start to show you if that worst case scenario were to happen in your life,
Your higher self is going to show you how you would respond,
Not react,
Not melt down,
Not fall apart.
Your higher self,
Soul self,
Is going to show you how all the gifts,
The skills,
The talents,
The support from others,
The unseen support you have around you would come together,
Coalesce,
And help you respond rather than react to the worst case scenario.
Let your higher self write the script,
And for the next moment or so in silence,
Just observe the emotions that you would feel as the response starts to take place,
As your strength starts to shine through.
Just take a moment to feel the soulful higher self response.
Now I invite your higher self to speak to your conscious mind and show you what would happen on the other side of that worst case scenario after you have gone through it.
How strong would you be?
How would you be a more resilient,
More advanced version of yourself?
And then I invite you to take your right index finger again and just press it and massage rather firmly right into the center of the forehead,
Really working on that energy point that helps us to step out of the fear of the unknown,
The fear of the worst case scenario,
And move into embracing faith.
Faith in who we are,
The gifts we have,
The seen and unseen support that's all around us.
Faith that ultimately everything works out for our highest good when we are on this journey of the soul.
And I want you to observe the difference between how you feel when the ego is writing the script versus how you feel when your soul self,
Higher self,
Is writing that script out.
Most of us,
There's a very marked difference between the two.
And then as a final piece to this exercise,
I invite you with your eyes closed to bring your awareness to the solar plexus energy center located between your navel and your sternum.
And this energy center is all about courage,
Motivation,
That inner fire,
That push from within to achieve,
Go beyond.
I like to visualize this sphere of energy as a little yellow sun,
Bright and shining,
Powerful like the sun.
I invite you to join me for three breaths into the solar plexus.
I'm going to breathe in through the nose for a count of three and breathe out through the nose for a count of three right into the solar plexus.
Go ahead and empty all the air from your lungs.
And then let's begin.
Breathe into that yellow sun.
One,
Two,
Three.
Exhale through the nose.
One,
Two,
Three.
Breathe into the yellow sun.
One,
Two,
Three.
Exhale through the nose.
One,
Two,
Three.
Breathe in one more time,
Firing up that bright yellow sun.

Three.
Exhale through the nose.

Three.
Beautiful.
When you're ready,
Go ahead and open your eyes.
It is so helpful rather than avoiding the things we fear or running from them or letting them hold us back.
It's just so much better to face the fear,
To look at it head on,
And then to also realize that those worst case scenarios we usually live in fear of,
They usually never happen.
It's usually a much milder version.
And to take a moment to acknowledge the strength we already have,
The support from friends,
Family,
Loved ones,
But also the unseen support that's all around us when we are on this soulful journey.
So much power,
Courage,
Confidence,
Motivation to you.
And may your soul self write the script from now on.
