Music On the road,

Walking,

Stepping into that unknown space A branched fork in the road appears,

Calling your name.

A fluttering heart filled with both excitement and fear.

Which direction to go?

The old way or the new?

Either path,

Full of love from the divine,

Neither a mistake,

For both will change over time.

But one calls your name louder than the other,

A new way to be,

Listening from within,

Not just about what you are seeing on the outside.

The old path worn well and walked with confidence and with grace.

This way is already known,

A comfortable place,

Making everything around you feel okay.

The unknown path,

Both shadows and light,

Cast on the ground all around.

Shaky balance and steps unsteady and new,

Like a toddler just learning to walk.

Surely there will be a fall or two.

What to take on this new path?

Not very much,

In fact,

Except all the wisdom you have already gained over time with each previous change.

What to do with being of trusting the unknown?

The beauty of not having the answers,

Whether life is calm or raging like a storm.

Which path do you choose?

The answer is unclear.

Each person must listen with their own inner ear.

Awakened to the voice of spirit rustling amidst the leaves of the trees overhead,

The wind carrying the messages testing your own beliefs.

A beautiful golden light,

Cast through the branches at dusk on this day,

Makes the ground sparkle on this new path that you are walking.

Take a deep breath,

Calming your insides.

Ask for help and love from all of your guides to be with you,

Supporting your path.

The unfolding,

The unwinding,

With signals that are clear to go forward in this new direction,

Heart fluttering once more.

Be brave,

Be kind,

Be humble and inspired,

Your heart and your gut both leading the way,

Your intellect helping to navigate as well each step that you take.

Stand at your feet firmly and breathe love into your heart.

Make this life's journey awesome,

More than you ever dreamed at the start.

May your path be blessed.

May your day be filled with light.

May your inner wisdom shine.

May you know you walk with others,

That you are never alone.

And may you be loved for exactly who you are each step of the way.

Many blessings to you.

Namaste.

Just as the title suggests, this poem is beautifully inspiring. Shannon reads the inspiring words of the poem with such sweet calmness. I felt a sense of surrender of the old path, as well as joy and anticipation to begin my walk on the new path. The perfect poem to hear in the New Year. Thank you, Shannon. 🥰🙏🙏🙏
