Welcome to today's meditation.
We're going to imagine perfect health using a body scan technique and a visualization practice.
These two approaches work together to align your mind and body with the feelings associated with perfect health.
Neuroscience shows that when you vividly imagine an action,
Your brain lights up in almost the same way as if you were actually doing it.
It's called functional equivalence.
And from a new thought perspective,
It's not just wishful thinking.
When you cultivate an image with intense thought and feeling,
Like the idea of perfect health,
That spiritual blueprint gets impressed on your subconscious mind and you teach your mind and body what it feels like to be whole,
Radiant,
And in perfect health now.
So let's begin.
I invite you to settle into a comfortable position,
Whatever that looks like for you.
Do what feels most comfortable so you can allow yourself to relax.
Relax your shoulders,
Your neck.
Try to release any tension you're feeling in your shoulders,
Chest,
Your neck,
Or your back.
And close your eyes.
See if you can let go of whatever's come before this moment and anything that's coming after as you gently ease into being here and now.
Take a deep breath in,
Inhale,
And exhale.
And on each exhale,
Try to release any tension you may be carrying.
Each breath out is an opportunity for you to let go a little more.
Let's do two more like that.
Inhale,
Releasing the tension,
And inhale,
And exhale.
Let it all go.
This is your time to connect with the power of your mind and envision what perfect health looks like and feels like for you.
Take a moment to feel the feelings of gratitude as you thank your body for its remarkable ability to heal and rejuvenate.
Place your hands on your heart and silently thank it for tirelessly pumping life-giving blood throughout your body.
Feel a deep sense of appreciation for the continuous rhythm that sustains your life.
Move your hands to your head and express gratitude for the incredible power of your mind.
Acknowledge its ability to influence your health and well-being.
Allow the kinds of thoughts and beliefs that support perfect health to flow to and through you like a gentle stream of pure positivity.
Now I invite you to place your hands on your abdomen.
Give thanks to this part of your body and as you do,
Feel appreciation for your body's digestive functions and their ability to nurture and sustain you.
Move your hands to your chest and give thanks to your lungs for their continuous work,
Giving you the ability to breathe and supplying you with oxygen throughout your body,
Filling you with vitality.
As you continue to breathe naturally,
Imagine a glowing healing light surrounding your entire body.
This beautiful glowing light filled with the energy of perfect health enters your body at your heart center and radiates outward down through your legs,
Out through your arms and up through the crown of your head.
This light is filled with the energy of perfect health and it infuses every cell,
Tissue and organ within you.
Feel its healing power restoring balance and vitality to every part of your body.
Now try to imagine you're surrounded by a beautiful,
Serene and peaceful environment.
Imagine a garden,
Majestic trees or a tranquil beach.
The air is filled with healing energy and you can feel its gentle touch on your skin.
As you look around at your surroundings,
Notice how your being is shifting.
As you drop into this moment with the intention of knowing the feelings of perfect health now,
You're filled with a renewed sense of vitality.
Imagine what perfect health would mean for you and what changes it might bring into your life.
What kinds of things might you do?
How would you feel?
What's something you'd say to someone or would someone be saying to you?
Picture yourself in this state and try to feel what it would feel like.
What does it feel like?
Relief,
Joy,
Freedom.
Feel those feelings.
Presence is the garden of creation,
So imagine that perfect health is yours in this moment,
Here and now.
And when you can,
All through the day,
Come back to your scene.
And continue to bask in the feelings of perfect health.
Before we come to the end of this meditation,
I invite you to repeat the following affirmations silently or aloud.
Visualize these affirmations permeating your entire being,
Aligning your thoughts and beliefs with the state of perfect health.
Number one,
I am strong,
Resilient,
And whole.
Number two,
I am worthy of vibrant health.
Number three,
Wellness is flowing through me right now.
Number four,
Perfect health is my natural state.
And five,
I choose thoughts that support my well-being.
Lastly,
Take a moment to express gratitude for the health and well-being that you already enjoy.
Trust that the universe is conspiring to bring you everything you could ever want in every moment that you let it.
Slowly feel free to open your eyes,
To gently come back to where you are.
Let's take in one last deep breath,
Inhale,
And exhale.
I invite you to carry the energy of perfect health with you all through the day,
No matter where you are or what's going on around you.
