
Moving Kundalini Meditation
Awaken your spiritual energy, activating each chakra and then move it up through your body and out the top of your head.
Transcript
In this 20-minute meditation,
We're going to focus on Kundalini energy.
According to the Hindu tradition,
Kundalini is the spiritual energy that embodies us,
And it's coiled at the base of our spine in our first chakra,
Like a snake.
So take a nice deep breath into your body,
Allowing yourself to relax.
With every deep inhalation,
Feel your body relax,
Letting the tension go.
All thoughts dissolving.
As you come into the moment,
Nice deep breaths into your body.
Letting all tension run off of you,
Like water disappearing.
As you settle into this space.
I want you to bring your attention to the base of your spine,
To your first chakra.
Breathing into that space.
And as you breathe into your first chakra,
Your awakening Kundalini,
The coiled snake of spiritual energy.
Breathing in and waking up to who you are.
The first chakra is like a gateway.
Take a nice deep breath into the base of your spine and pull that energy up to your second chakra,
Which is located at the lower part of your abdomen,
Where your sex organs are.
And breathe into this space,
Pulling that Kundalini up to your second chakra.
It is said that the second chakra is the home of creativity.
And as you breathe into your second chakra,
Your awakening your own creativity,
Breathing life force into it.
Nice deep breath into your second chakra and pull that energy,
That Kundalini,
Up to your third chakra,
Right by your belly button.
Your third chakra is the power center of your body.
Breathe into it.
And as you breathe,
Imagine that there's like a fire pit in your belly.
And they're all these kind of dying embers.
And as you breathe into your belly,
They turn red and they rekindle the fire.
If a thought comes into your head,
Simply say,
Not now,
And bring your awareness back to your third chakra.
Nice deep breath into your belly and pull that energy up to your heart space.
Your heart chakra is located in the center of your chest.
Breathe into this space.
And as you breathe into your heart space,
Feel it open wider and wider.
There's nothing to fear.
You are in a place of love.
Nice deep breath into your heart and pull that energy up to your throat chakra,
Center of your throat.
Breathing into your throat.
I invite you to make a decision today that all words you speak will be words of love.
Nice deep breath into your throat chakra and pull that Kundalini up to your third eye,
Located in between your eyebrows and a little bit above.
Breathing into that space.
The space of the innu guru,
The teacher within.
We're activating each of our chakras as we move the energy up our body.
Nice deep breath into your third eye and pull that energy up to the top of your head to the crown chakra and exhale out the top of your head.
Imagine that on top of your head is a lotus with 10,
000 petals.
And as you breathe in and out of the top of your head,
They open up magnificently.
We've just opened a conduit between heaven and earth.
And it runs from the base of our spine to the top of our head.
Imagine that through your crown chakra pours divine nectar down into your head,
Into your throat,
Flowing through this conduit of your spine and infusing your entire body.
Breathing into the top of your head.
Feel that golden nectar flowing through your whole being,
Bathing you in gracious light,
In love,
In perfect healing,
In absolute peace.
Feel it in every cell,
Gland,
Organ,
Tissue,
Muscle,
Infusing your entire body with golden light.
If there's a place in your body that feels uncomfortable or is holding tension,
Breathe that golden light into the space.
If a thought comes to you,
Simply say,
Not now,
And keep breathing in the top of your head.
Now take a nice deep breath into the top of your head and bring your awareness back to your third eye.
We're coming back into our bodies,
But we're going to hold this space open to allow the energy to continue to flow in and through us.
Nice deep breath into your third eye and come down to your throat,
Breathing into your throat,
Feeling any place of unsaid words or anger.
Nice deep breath into your throat and bring your attention back to your heart.
And breathe in and out of your heart space.
See,
In the center of your heart,
An image of the divine.
Perhaps for you it's Jesus Christ or Mother Mary.
Maybe it's Lord Buddha,
Tara,
Lord Shiva.
Imagine that image resting in peace in your heart.
If for you it's not an image,
Maybe it's a sound or a word.
Maybe it's a vibration.
Breathe into your heart and feel that space.
You carry this essence with you everywhere.
Breathe into your heart and drop your awareness down to your third chakra,
Right by your belly button.
We're coming back into our bodies more fully.
Breathe into that space.
And a nice deep breath and come down into your second chakra in your lower abdomen.
And breathe,
Feeling your body totally relaxed.
Nice deep breath in and drop down to your first chakra,
Bringing Kundalini home,
Pulling that energy from the heavens down through our whole bodies.
Now take a nice deep breath into your first chakra,
The base of your spine,
And pull that energy all the way up to your heart space.
And we'll just stay here,
Breathing in and out of our heart.
Knowing we are loved,
Knowing that we are at peace,
Remembering that we are one.
