Will You Have Me? A Poem For Unconditional Belonging
I have spent the better part of my life on 'the outside '. From carrying various dissociative disorders to chronic depersonalization, it has always felt like I was waiting at the door of life, asking to be let in. But something changed when I looked for the woman who was supposedly 'outside'. I couldn't find something in me that could stand apart, and this inquiry began to heal a deep and devastating relationship I had unknowingly built between myself and the world - between myself and beauty, love, freedom... This is a poem and inquiry into the paradox of asking to belong to a world we're already inseparable from. It's a short exploration of finding meaning not through seeking entry, but through recognising we are already woven into the sacred whole. The inquiry invites a direct turning toward your own inner journey, slowing down to discover what was never outside in the first place. I hope you return to it whenever you forget who you are.
