Thank you all for making it out to class tonight.
Good job planning your drive accordingly with LA traffic.
My name is Seth Mung.
I'm walking.
Felt like something much grander coming.
Sometimes it's like that.
So you've caught us in the middle of a series.
We're doing a series on the chakra system.
And each week we've been kind of going into a different chakra.
And chakras are these kind of energy and emotional centers of the body.
If you look at your own experience of,
I was going to say owning this body,
But I almost feel like it's more like possessing this body.
Consciousness is that possess these things and somehow move them around.
It's kind of weird when you think about it.
How did we get in here?
What is this thing?
But as you start checking out your body and how your body actually responds to things,
You'll notice that you have certain energetic,
Certain emotional centers in your body.
So last week was the heart.
And when we talk about the heart,
You know,
We always talk about things like love.
It's almost just so matter of fact for us.
Like Valentine's Day,
It's like these hearts,
Hearts and love,
Hearts and love.
They go together.
But have you ever thought about why?
What is the organ of the heart have anything to do with love?
It's this like blood pumping.
I don't know if it's a muscle or what it is,
But that pumps blood,
You know,
Valves kind of gross.
What does that have to do with love?
Why do we associate that with love?
It makes no sense,
Actually.
Except that when we feel love,
We feel it in that part of the body over the heart.
The week before that,
We actually did it twice in a row accidentally.
The week before that was the solar plexus,
Which is about confidence.
It's the center of confidence and also fear,
Security or insecurity.
You'll notice that,
You know,
When you feel confident,
You kind of stick that part of your body out.
You know,
Whether you're in a like a like a conflict with somebody and you're kind of like,
What do you say to me?
You know,
It's like bumping with your belly almost.
You stick it out.
It's dominant.
Or conversely,
The times that we feel insecure or unsure or want to create a little more sense of safety in ourselves.
We'll cross our arms over the solar plexus.
We'll kind of like contract our body a little bit that we create like a barrier,
A blockage.
And we even contract that spot to feel a sense of security.
Right.
When we say you have butterflies in the stomach because the solar plexus,
The seat of confidence or.
It's the opposite of not unconfident.
I'll have to look that one up for next time.
Whatever the opposite of confidence is.
Yeah,
Those were.
But,
You know.
Yeah,
That's close.
Something like that.
This is an interactive one tonight.
You get a free class for that one.
But if you if you look at the body,
You'll see that,
You know,
We have this nervous system,
Right?
We have this nervous system and this nervous system that registers different emotional themes in different places.
Simply.
So tonight we're going to be working on the throat chakra.
If anyone has ever had like a lump in their throat.
Right.
As we say.
You'll notice that the times where you've wanted to speak out,
You've wanted to say something,
You've had something to say that you didn't and you haven't for whatever reason.
Whether it wasn't allowed,
Whether it wasn't appropriate,
Whether there'd be a repercussion that you didn't want to deal with.
Whether you get punished.
We would we would hold that in and you feel a contraction in the throat.
It's called like having a lump in your throat.
This is like the chakra area.
Conversely,
When we sing and express ourselves,
It kind of comes out of right there.
It creates this openness.
It's the seat of expression for us.
It's how we express.
I often say that the throat chakra is kind of like the the most under underappreciated of the chakras.
I feel like everyone's always talking about like the third eye or the heart.
And if you're like into chakras more,
You talk about like the root chakra and my crown.
But the throat,
It's actually it's kind of like our connection to the world.
The way that we communicate,
The way that we express ourselves is how we feel seen.
It's how we communicate information.
It's how we feel represented.
If I tell a joke and nobody laughs,
I'm like,
You know,
It's like if I say something and y'all laugh,
You know,
It's like the way that I express myself is the way that I get my needs met in the world.
If I'm unable to express myself clearly and openly,
I'm not going to feel a great sense of safety in myself.
Yeah,
Oftentimes when we feel unsafe,
It's because we're not expressing ourselves.
We're not saying the things we need to say and the things we need to say are even sometimes different than we think they are.
Like if,
You know,
You're in a fight with someone or someone does something,
What you want to say,
Right,
Is to call them a name.
You want to be like you're something.
Fill in the blank with your word of choice there.
But maybe what you mean to say is I feel hurt.
I feel unseen.
I feel not loved.
I feel not cared about.
Maybe there's actually a need that you want to express,
But because of your upbringing,
Your childhood,
Whatever it was,
You don't feel comfortable,
Confident or safe expressing your needs.
What if we actually don't express our needs because we don't feel safe in being vulnerable,
Safe in expressing ourselves,
But therefore blame everyone else for not seeing us or for making us feel unsafe?
How many people can feel relatable to that?
Who could say they've been guilty of that at some point?
And it's probably everybody at some point.
You know,
Times that we don't say what we needed to say and therefore we make it other people's problems.
Times we didn't say what we needed to say,
But then we beat ourselves up about it.
And it often goes in one of two directions.
We get to learn how to become more and more skillful with our communication.
This is this is like an art,
Right?
I studied,
You know,
Nonviolent communication.
It's like this whole art of how to express yourself in a way that someone can actually receive it.
That there is all of these nuances and structures and things that are out there that are amazing.
To learn how to feel safe in relationships,
How to feel represented to those people around us,
How to share in a way that that feels authentic and yet safe.
Confidence often comes because we feel safe in our expression.
And if our expression was hindered or muted or we tried to speak out,
But it was shut down or not received.
Sometimes we shut down and we feel not confident,
Right?
So it's almost like if the throat gets shut down,
Then our solar plexus gets shut down.
And then our heart starts to get angry because it's stuck in this thing.
And then our root gets activated because,
Like,
I don't even know if I belong here.
That all of the chakras kind of like a pinball game bounce back and forth off of each other.
Conversely,
If we speak out something honest and authentic and meaningful and it's received,
Suddenly we notice that our own heart begins to open.
And then we start to feel safe and then our whole body starts to relax.
That through our communication,
Through our words,
Through our voice,
Through our skillfulness,
And expressing and explaining ourselves,
We can really create a lot of safety or unsafety for ourselves.
We can really get a lot of our needs met in ways that we couldn't even imagine.
What if the requests that you think are unreasonable are actually what everyone around you is waiting for you to say?
What if people are actually waiting for you to take up the space that belongs to you and use your voice and say what's happening,
What you're feeling,
What's not working for you?
What if other people feel unsafe around you because you don't feel safe to share yourself?
What if you had the power right now in this moment in all of your relationships to completely shift the dynamic for the better in a way that you feel safe and represented,
That you could feel like your heart is open and you'd just be so happy?
If only you would just start saying the things that you needed to say.
And sticking with it.
It is not a one-and-done kind of thing.
It's not like I say the thing and if it wasn't received,
Then I'm out.
You say it,
If it wasn't received,
Then you say,
Oh,
It feels like that wasn't received.
Oh,
I feel even more shut down now.
Oh,
I would love it if you would just listen to what I have to say before responding.
To keep going and keep going and keep going and keep going through it until you feel safe expressing regardless of how it's even being received.
Until you know that you've shown up for yourself.
Fully.
Fully.
And when we know that we've shown up for ourself fully,
Then we feel safe in ourselves and our nervous system relaxes.
Then our inner child's like,
Thank you.
So I invite you all to get into positions that feel comfortable and relaxed.
This is generally laying down.
These seats kind of like click forward to click back sort of thing.
As we begin to get settled and get comfortable.
I invite you to place one hand on your solar plexus,
Which is just below your rib cage,
Top of your belly and place the other hand on your throat.
If this feels too kind of constricting,
You can actually float your hands at any distance that feels good off of the body and get the same effect.
Sometimes,
In fact,
People need the floating instead of the touch.
As you take a few breaths and just connect to this throat solar plexus connection.
Repeating after me.
Sometimes I speak out.
Sometimes I hold back.
Sometimes I'm proud of myself.
Sometimes I feel ashamed.
Sometimes I feel ashamed.
I have so much to say.
I have so much to share.
There is so much meaningful content in my mind.
There are so many important feelings in my heart.
And I want to share them.
Because I matter.
And I deserve to be heard.
And I deserve to have people around me.
People in my life who want to hear me.
Because I deserve to feel safe.
I deserve to feel like I matter.
I deserve to feel like people want to understand me.
I deserve to feel loved.
I deserve to use my voice.
I love myself.
I am here for myself.
And I will speak up when I need to.
Unapologetically.
Out of self-love.
Out of self-love.
Take a couple deep breaths into the body.
Letting that sink in.
When you're ready,
You can relax the hands.
Beginning to relax.
Beginning to soften.
Noticing as you breathe in,
Your body relaxes.
As you breathe out,
Your body begins to let go.
Inhale.
Relax.
Exhale.
Letting go.
In.
Relax.
Out.
Release.
I invite you to connect with the earth beneath you.
With the space around you.
As you breathe,
Your consciousness,
Your mind,
Your awareness,
Begins merging with the space around you.
It's as if you're breathing in the space.
As you breathe out,
You're expanding into the space around you.
Noticing that you can feel the space beyond this room.
You can connect to the space above this building in the sky.
You can even connect to outer space.
To the stars.
What would it feel like if right now,
You could connect to the stars,
Which are not just above us,
But around us in every direction.
What if there was one star for every atom of your body?
Every atom of your body was connected to its own star.
What if the light,
The frequencies,
The vibrations,
The information from the stars could flow back and forth from your body here?
What if that energy began collecting around your throat chakra?
The stars are smiling at you.
They're saying,
We don't ask permission to shine.
We don't ask if it's okay to be born,
To explode.
We simply follow our own nature.
We do our own thing.
We shine our light into the darkness,
Never knowing how many beings on how many different planets are seeing us and appreciating us through time and space.
And we can imagine a beautiful,
Loving being slowly coming to us.
This could be a parent,
A grandparent,
A guardian angel of some sort.
Just a presence.
Just a presence.
And they slowly come to us,
Gently placing their energetic hand on our throat.
They look at us lovingly.
And they ask us,
Speak up.
Speak up.
I love you.
Your voice matters.
Speak up.
You deserve to be heard.
You deserve to be seen.
You don't need to fight to shut down.
You are loved.
You are safe.
Speak up.
You are so important to me,
To this world.
You matter so much.
And you are so loved.
And this is your chance to receive that love.
Because when you speak up,
You can be heard,
Understood,
And cared for.
You can be heard,
Understood,
And cared for.
Just feeling a beautiful,
Warm,
Tingling golden light entering into the throat chakra.
Giving us permission to speak,
To matter,
To be enough,
To have a voice.
Removing all doubts and fears and worries and stories.
Allowing our truth to be heard.
And allowing our life situations to shift accordingly.
This being wishes you well,
Dissolving back into the loving presence that is around you at all times.
Just allow yourself the time and the space.
Fully rest,
Effortless.
Taking the time now for integration.
There's nothing left to do.
This being wishes you well,
Dissolving back into the loving presence that is around you at all times.
This being wishes you well,
Dissolving back into the loving presence that is around you at all times.
This being wishes you well,
Dissolving back into the loving presence that is around you at all times.

This being wishes you well,
Dissolving back into the loving presence that is around you at all times.
This being wishes you well,
Dissolving back into the loving presence that is around you at all times.
Take a deep breath into the body.
Oh,
And deep inhale and exhale.
Allowing yourself to return to this physical form,
To this 3D reality,
The body and this room.
Gently wiggling fingers and toes.
Gently begin stretching out arms and legs.
And just allowing this final stage of integration back into your world.
One last deep breath,
The deepest breath of your entire day so far.
In through the nose,
Filling up the belly as much as you can and even sucking it a little more when you're done with that.
And out through the mouth.
You can come back completely and you can open your eyes.
