Hello and welcome to this heart chakra opening and balancing meditation.
My name is Genevieve McKenzie.
I am a certified psychosynthesis life coach.
Psychosynthesis is essentially the science of the soul,
And it teaches us how we can lead our lives from a place of expansion rather than fears,
Worries,
And doubts.
In this meditation,
We will open up the energies of the heart chakra to enable us to open to more connection,
More love,
And more compassion.
We will do this through a breathing visualization.
We will then state positive affirmations,
And we will finally close this with a visualization of the heart chakra itself.
Go ahead and get into a comfortable position,
Whether that is you lying down on your back or seated upright.
Whatever helps you to feel comfortable and relaxed in this moment.
And we are going to begin this meditation with three deep breaths.
We're going to breathe in through the nose and hold at the top and release through the mouth with a sigh.
So we will go ahead and begin now.
Go ahead and breathe in through the nose,
Nice and deep.
Hold at the top and release through the mouth with a sigh.
Again,
Breathe in even deeper this time in through the nose.
Hold at the top and breathe out through the mouth.
Again,
One more,
Your deepest breath yet.
Go ahead and breathe in through the nose.
Hold at the top and release through the mouth with a sigh.
Check in with how your body is feeling now.
Is there anywhere you can invite to relax a little bit deeper?
Perhaps inviting your jaw to soften even more or removing your tongue from the roof of your mouth or dropping your shoulders even a little bit further down your body.
Positive psychologists agree that connection is one of the most important things for our happiness and well-being.
So focusing on opening the heart chakra and allowing ourselves to soften to the love that is all around us can allow us to live a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
So often we wait for that special person or that new connection to come along for us to finally feel fully seen.
But by focusing on opening our heart chakra,
We can attune ourselves to the love that is already around us and begin softly opening to the people that are in our lives that already love us deeply.
The heart chakra is located in the center of the chest and I want you to bring your attention to that space right now.
What does it feel like inside of your chest?
Does it feel tight?
Does it feel spacious and open?
Does it feel safe to bring your attention here?
I want you to place the intention of breathing directly into your chest and I want you to breathe in through your mouth and as you breathe in imagine a flow of new energy entering into your chest.
Imagine yourself breathing in a bright white glowing ribbon as you breathe in through the mouth.
Watch it as it floats around in your chest inviting it to soften and open.
Now as you exhale I want you to imagine breathing that ribbon out into a universal collection of ribbons.
These ribbons collect and connect you to everyone in the world that has felt sad,
Alone,
Stuck or afraid.
Go ahead and breathe in through the mouth breathing in that ribbon watching it dance and soften in your chest and go ahead and breathe it out,
Breathing it out in the into the collective of everyone who has felt sad,
Alone,
Stuck,
Misunderstood.
Again breathing in through the mouth breathe that ribbon breathing directly into your chest allowing that white glowing ribbon to soften and open that heart chakra for you and as you breathe out breathe out that ribbon into the collective,
The space where you feel seen,
The space where you know it's okay to hurt sometimes and you know you're not alone in these emotions.
And now one final breath here breathing in through the mouth breathing in that white glowing ribbon into the chest and breathing out into the collective watching it weave among all the other ribbons of all the other people who have felt just like you.
Now we are going to state some positive affirmations.
You can state them either aloud or you can state them in your mind and repeat after me.
I often like to put my hand on my chest as I repeat these affirmations and you're going to repeat slowly after me.
It is safe to be fully seen.
I trust the people around me.
The people around me are rooting for me.
The love I attract has no conditions.
I am deserving of love no matter what I do or say.
I am deserving of love no matter how much I do or don't do.
I allow love to fill me and guide me.
I love the people in my life.
I love that I am always trying.
I don't give up and I really like that about myself.
Now I will give you a few moments to add or repeat whatever it is your heart needs to hear right now.
Now we will finish this meditation with a visualization of our heart chakra.
I like to keep my hand on my chest as I do this visualization practice.
So again resting your hand on your chest and asking yourself what does it feel like inside my chest right now?
What is the energy like inside of my chest right now?
And I want you to visualize a bright green glowing crystal sitting in the center of your chest.
What is the quality of this crystal?
Is it opaque?
Is it transparent?
Is it cut smooth or is it raw?
Is there any dirt or dust on this crystal?
What about the glow?
Is it dimly lit or is the glow of the heart chakra illuminating your whole body?
I like to imagine I have a magical cloth in my hand and this cloth wipes up all debris all tension and it heals all the cracks.
And I take that magical cloth and I begin rubbing it along the surface of the crystal cleaning it nourishing it healing its wounds.
As you use this magical cloth imagine the crystal growing brighter and clearer.
You clean the crystal until there are no more cracks or debris left.
And I want you to notice what does it feel like inside your chest?
What do you need to hear right now?
Or what could you know about the future that will allow you to be fully seen by the people that love you?
What will allow you to finally soften?
And as you receive that message I want you to repeat it to yourself three times slowly.
Now bring your attention back to the crystal that is sitting in the center of your chest.
And I want you to imagine the glow of this crystal getting brighter and brighter bigger and bigger until this growing green light is illuminating your entire body.
How does it feel to have that heart chakra open?
We will bring this meditation to a close with a few more affirmations.
You can repeat after me aloud or in your head.
I am love,
I am light,
And my spirit is blooming.
I am doing a good job.
I am doing a darn good job.
I showed up today and I really like that about myself.
Just for today I am grateful to be me in this body in this life.
And you can take a nice deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Again in through the nose and out through the mouth.
And one last breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.
