Sometimes,

Life has a way of making you forget that you deserve gentleness,

That you deserve slowing down and savoring,

That you deserve everything that comes with having a life that feels kind and pure and intentional.

Now,

You deserve to be unconforming to any circumstance that's not for your highest good and rise to the great,

Soft life that you deserve.

Find a comfortable position,

Softly close your eyes and begin taking some gentle breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth,

Taking this moment to focus on finding stillness in the pauses,

The pauses between the inhales and the exhales,

Imagining that each breath is the formation of a beautiful lotus.

Maybe your inhales are the lotus growing out from the darkness of the mud,

And your exhale is it opening and blooming as it reaches the light,

Petals soft,

Colors bright.

What a beautiful sight.

Let your breath dance with the lotus through each stage of its formation,

Continuously bringing it back to life,

From a seed waiting in stillness for the waters and sun to become aligned to a flower pushing through the murky waters to become what it was destined to be.

See if you can grow the lotus with your next three breaths,

Each time making it bloom larger and more vibrant than the last.

And just like the lotus,

May you remain patient and steadfast on your journey,

Not conforming to the circumstances you were created in or the circumstances that may have been created for you.

Knowing when it's your time to dance with the waters and the sun and bloom,

Dear one.

Bloom into the soft,

Vibrant lotus that you are.

Now is the time.

Go forward with gentleness in your heart,

Don't let the muddy waters make you forget the light that's waiting for you.

Bloom,

Dear one.

Take one more final deep breath in and out,

Gently bringing awareness back into your body,

Slowly,

Wiggling fingers and toes,

Slowly rotating your neck,

Wrists and ankles if that and maybe inviting a gentle smile.

Gentle light with you throughout your day or night.
