Day Seventeen of Lent. This meditation is inspired by Isaiah 40:31. During this meditation, and for the second & third weeks of this series we meditate upon the Call to Endurance. Where do we draw strength from, when we feel weak? How can we learn to have grace for ourselves in those moments? Let this meditation take you deeper in communion with God. And let this series be an edifying part of your Lent practice.

Hello my dear Hearkeners,

Today's meditation is the 17th in our Lent meditation series.

To begin this meditation,

I invite you to close your eyes.

Let's observe that with the simple act of closing your eyes,

Your mind naturally quiets down,

Your spirit slows,

And even your heart rate can have a tendency to slow.

This is one of the quickest and easiest ways to be still.

Let's enter today's meditation with this spirit of stillness.

In this spirit of stillness,

I invite you to place your hands on your chest and imagine God is placing these words on your heart.

Those who trust in Yahweh will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles.

They will run and not grow weary.

They will walk and not faint.

Let these words of affirmation fill your heart,

Your body,

Mind,

And spirit.

Let them wash over you like a wave in a sea of encouragement.

Those who trust in Yahweh will renew their strength.

They will gain new strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles.

They will soar high on wings like eagles.

They will run and not grow weary.

They will not get tired.

They will walk and not faint.

They will never give up,

Never get too tired to keep going on.

Those who trust in Yahweh will renew their strength.

They will run and not grow weary.

They will walk and not faint.

Thank you for meditating with me today,

My dear hearkeners.

Let your strength be renewed today,

And may grace and peace,

Light and love,

Be with you.

Just found you! Thank you for doing this meditation on this particular verse. I memorized it as a child, about 60 years ago and God brings it to mind often, still.
