Day Twenty Five of Lent. This meditation is upon one simple word: become. During this meditation, and for the third & fourth weeks of this series we meditate upon the Call to Endurance. Where do we draw strength from, when we feel weak? How can we learn to have grace for ourselves in those moments? Let this meditation take you deeper in communion with God. And let this series be an edifying part of your Lent practice.

Hello my dear hearkeners,

Today's meditation is the 25th in our Lent series.

Today's meditation is upon one simple word,

Become.

To start,

Let's close our eyes and let's observe that with the simple act of just closing your eyes,

Your mind quiets down,

Your spirit slows,

And even your heart rate can have a tendency to slow.

This,

Simply closing your eyes is one of the quickest and easiest ways to be still.

Let's enter this meditation with this spirit of stillness.

And in that spirit of stillness,

We come,

Become.

Let's take a moment simply to meditate on that one word,

Become.

Be,

Come.

I often like to split words like this.

These words which are made up of two or more words put together,

Be and come.

Be,

Come.

Be makes me think of be still.

In the stillness is where we encounter God.

And come,

Come is an invitation to come into the presence of God.

Come into the presence of God.

If we create space to be still and come into the presence of the divine,

We will naturally become who we are called to be.

We will naturally become who we are called to be.

We will become who we are meant to be.

So let's be still and come into the presence.

Let's become who we were made to be.

Be still and come into the presence.

Be,

Come.

Thank you for sharing this tender,

Sacred moment with me today,

My friends.

May you make space to be still and come into the presence today.

And of course,

May grace and peace,

Light,

Love and stillness be with you.

Amen.
