Hello my fellow Harkonners.
For today's meditation,
And to end the series,
We are going to meditate upon being good trees to produce good fruit.
To begin,
I invite you to be still.
Locate your mind,
Relax your body,
And close your eyes if it is safe and helpful to do so.
Find a position you can remain in comfortably for the duration of this meditation.
And be still.
Take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
And slowly let it out.
And again.
Take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
And slowly let it out.
And again.
And with each breath in,
Allow yourself to relax a bit more.
And with each breath out,
Feel your worries,
Tensions,
Judgments,
And anxieties drift away.
And in worries,
Tensions,
Judgments,
And anxieties out.
In and out.
In and out.
Repeat this exercise until you are without worry,
Tension,
Anxiety,
Or judgment.
If you need more time,
Feel free to pause this track and resume when ready.
I will still be right here for you when you come back.
And now that you are without any negative judgment,
You are free.
All that remains is a spirit of peace and loving kindness.
And now,
Let us meditate upon some words from scripture.
A tree is known by its fruits.
Good trees produce good fruits.
Dead trees are chopped down and thrown into the fire.
A tree is known by its fruits.
Good trees produce good fruits.
Dead trees are chopped down and thrown into the fire.
Where there are areas in my life that do not produce good fruit,
YHWH,
Let me cut them out.
Let me throw them into the fire.
YHWH,
Where there are areas in my life that do not produce good fruit,
Let me cut them out.
Let me throw them into the fire.
Let me be a good tree.
Let me produce good fruits.
Let me harvest YHWH fruit.
Where there are areas in our lives,
In our community,
In the body of Christ,
In the church that do not produce good fruit,
Let us cut them out.
Let us throw them into the fire.
Where there are areas in our lives,
As a church and as a community,
That do not produce good fruit,
YHWH,
Let us cut them out.
Let us throw them into the fire.
YHWH,
Let us be good trees.
Let us produce good fruits.
Let us harvest YHWH fruit.
Let us be good trees.
Let us produce good fruits.
Let us harvest good news and love fruit.
Let us harvest YHWH fruit.
Let your church and our community be a forest of good trees.
Let us be trees of love,
Joy,
Peace,
Patience,
Kindness,
Goodness,
Faithfulness,
Gentleness,
And self-control.
And let your church and our community harvest these fruits.
Thank you for meditating along with me and with this series,
My dear fellow Harkonners.
May grace and peace,
Light and love,
Be with you today and always.
May you bear,
May we bear,
Much fruit.
Amen.
