YHWH will give you a sign,

Behold,

The Virgin shall conceive and bear a son,

And shall call his name Immanuel,

Which means God is with us.

God is with us.

God is with us.

This is the message of Advent.

This is the message of Yes,

And.

Yes,

And.

Our passage for today was written centuries before Mary's ultimate Yes,

And continues to echo centuries later.

This passage lives in the eternal Now.

In that moment,

However,

The historical moment of Mary's Yes,

The past,

Present,

And future all came to a head in that one moment.

And as we've reflected upon in an earlier meditation,

We live in the midst of the already not yet.

This is the eternal Now.

The past is a broken memory.

The future is fantasy.

The present.

The present is all there is.

What Yes,

And are you being called to?

Are you being called into?

Does this Advent mark a specific arrival for you personally?

A choice?

A fork in the road?

A new era?

Perhaps an invitation to an eternal Yes.

An eternal Yes.

This is the eternal Now.

This is the Yes,

And.

This is the message of Advent.

God is with us.

Manuel,

God is with us.

God is with us.

God is with us.

Thank you! If we could always remember that God is with us -it would be life changing.
