A Re-Telling of the Christmas Story in the poetic & contemplative language of Harkening Deer (Sean J Stevens).

In this Christmas special, we listen again to the ancient story of the Light who came into the world. Drawing from the Gospels of Matthew, Luke, and John, and paraphrased in the spirit of the First Nations Version, this telling weaves together creation and incarnation, angels and shepherds, stars and wise ones.

It is a story of the Word who took on flesh, pitched a tent among the People, and brought peace into a weary world. Wherever you are, and however this season finds you, may this story be a gentle place to breathe, listen, and receive the Light that still comes.

A lovely story of inspiration and hope to listen to on this Christmas Day. I enjoyed the imagery and focus on themes of the Word and the Light. I also appreciated the storytelling style and phrases like the Word "pitching a tent among us", making the Creator feel accessible in this modern time where daily life can often feel disconnected from the Spirit. I loved the gentle background music of "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" and transition into "O Holy Night". It provided a familiar comfort as the story unfolded. Thank you for this lovely, inclusive, and creative version of the Christmas Story. It is an inspiration to continue finding the Light even as we face the darkness of this world and in our lives.
