A Mindfulness Practice For Anchoring In The Present
by Guy Ferdman
A flexible, classic guided meditation for whenever you need a reliable way back to the present moment. This practice uses simple breath awareness, watching the inhale and the exhale without needing to change either one, to anchor your attention in the small, easy to miss gaps between each breath, the gaps where the present moment has been waiting all along. The mind will wander, that is simply what minds do, and this session gently guides you back each time without frustration or judgment. Suitable for any time of day, whether you are new to meditation or returning to a familiar, grounding practice. A general mindfulness meditation for presence, focus, and a few minutes of genuine stillness. This is a solid default choice for a daily practice, short enough to fit into a busy morning and adaptable enough to return to throughout the day.
