A Focus Practice For Starting A Task
by Guy Ferdman
The hardest part of focus is often the first ninety seconds, the gap between deciding to start and actually starting, where the mind reaches for anything else instead. This meditation is built to be used in exactly that gap, a short breath and intention practice that closes the space between deciding and doing before the mind finds a distraction to fill it with instead. This isn't about willpower, it's about giving the transition into a task a specific, repeatable ritual instead of leaving it to chance. Useful right before opening the document, sitting down at the desk, or starting whatever you've been circling. A short meditation for focus, built for the moment just before a task begins.
