Welcome to Living a Life of Gratitude.
I'm Sarah Wiseman.
Spontaneous Buddha.
Perhaps you've heard about those people who can't wear watches,
Who fry toasters,
And who cause all kinds of machinery to blow up whenever they're near,
Just because of the particular way their body energy is wired.
In recent months,
I've turned into one of those people.
I've blown up my car battery,
Set off smoke alarms,
Caused the washing machine to turn on and the dishwasher to turn off.
Don't even ask about the toaster.
We laugh when we watch movies in which the face of Jesus is imprinted on a tortilla and the village goes crazy or shows up in the mold on a shower wall and the TV crews head in.
We giggle at the improbability of a healing spring suddenly gushing forth from the ground or a statue weeping tears or any of the other sort of impossible miracles happening.
And yet,
These things do happen.
Angels are among us in ways and numbers that we cannot imagine.
They work in the ethers.
They are actively involved in the electronica,
The energies that we all use for communication and machinery these days.
In fact,
There is so much rubbing of elbows with the angelic realm,
It's a surprise we aren't tripping over each other all day long.
Until we are conscious,
There is a veil of perception that makes it impossible for us to see.
And yet,
When we become conscious,
That veil is lifted.
This happens especially during a near-death experience or other shock to the system when we suddenly realize that there is more to the universe than we have ever dreamed.
And then,
Miracles show up out of nowhere and we simply understand that this is how it is.
While I was writing this morning,
My phone suddenly began to vibrate on my desk.
And when I picked it up,
I saw it was playing a movie of Buddha.
There was Buddha,
Serene-faced in stone.
And there was water pouring over him like a fountain,
The sound of the water gurgling from my phone.
I held the phone in my hand,
Not sure what I was seeing.
This image,
This movie of Buddha,
Did not come from a phone call.
It was not a link.
It was not embedded or in my photo gallery or bookmarked or a message.
It was not a YouTube video or from any other recognizable source.
It was not an image I have ever seen before.
And it was not stored in or sent to my phone.
It just showed up,
Buddha in healing water,
Sent as a message to me.
Sometimes these things happen.
We call them miracles now because we don't understand.
We still don't fathom that we exist in the magic all the time.
Spontaneous Buddha.
Spontaneous Jesus.
Spontaneous Spirit Guide.
Ascended Master Saint Holy One.
Spontaneous starting of the washing machine.
Spontaneous movie on the smartphone.
Miracles are with us all times if we are open to see.
Today,
Watch for spontaneous miracles.
Instead of searching for reasons why it is not possible or how it was circumstantial,
Simply allow yourself to be in wonder.
Life is mystery.
Miracles are everywhere.
