Let's begin with some brief breath work.
I'm going to count for you.
We'll do a four count and then a five count and then a six count.
Inhale 1 2 3 4 out 4 3 2 1.
Feel the stress leaving your body on the out.
In 1 2 3 4 5 out 5 4 3 2 1.
In 1 2 3 4 5 6 out 6 5 4 3 2 1.
Briefly take a moment and identify anything touching your body.
Ground into the physical body right here right now.
Name it in your mind.
Now I want you to repeat this.
I am safe.
I am safe.
I am safe.
You can also say I am present.
You can also use a statement of where you are.
I am safe.
I am home.
I am present.
Name something you see,
Anything you see.
Name one thing.
Now I want you to take a brief moment and let a color come to mind.
Any color.
I want you to see if you can find that color in your environment.
Look around and try to find it.
And last but not least,
I want you to take your index finger and your middle finger and rub right in between the eyebrows.
Very good.
And or right in the webbing in between your thumb and your index finger.
