This is progressive relaxation exercise focusing on Mindfulness of the Eyes, a simple guided meditation which allows you to fully relax and prepare for sleep or rest. Beginning with relaxing the neck and shoulders, before bringing mindful awareness to the entire eye area and gently resting the muscles around the eyes and releasing the eyes themselves. Mindfulness of the eyes is a great way to calm the body, by stimulating the vagal nerve via the optical nerves and putting the body into the parasympathetic state, for either rest or sleep. This recording ends quietly to be suitable for listening to in bed at the end of the day, but you can enjoy any time you would like to rest.
