This is a meditation providing a healing light radiating from your heart space.
So come into your preferred meditation position.
If it's seated or lying down just get into a nice neutral position ensuring that your spine is straight,
Your neck is straight from your spine,
Your shoulders are relaxed.
Gently close your eyes.
If your neck is relaxed you might want to just turn your head side to side just to see if get comfy.
Close your eyes.
Again just return to your breath.
You're checking with your body,
Does everything feel okay?
If there's any niggles just witness that but try not to over analyse.
Whatever you're feeling is okay.
Your body is doing well at healing and recovering.
Let your feet go out to the sides,
Your legs are a little bit opened,
It's where it feels nice and comfortable for you.
Do a body scan,
See if we can focus on different parts of the body and see if we can relax each section,
Each muscle in turn.
So bring attention to your right hand,
Your right thumb,
Relax.
Second finger,
Third finger,
Fourth finger,
Fifth finger,
Palm of the hand,
Back of the hand,
Right wrist,
Right lower arm,
Elbow,
Upper arm,
Right shoulder.
Gently tense,
Make a fist,
Tense our right hand,
Right arm and then completely relax.
Heavy,
Loose and relaxed.
Keep breathing.
Come to your left hand,
Left thumb,
Second finger,
Third finger,
Fourth finger,
Pinky finger,
Palm of the hand,
Back of the hand,
Wrist,
Lower arm,
Elbow,
Upper arm,
Other side of the shoulder.
Deep breath in,
Clench muscles and breathe out and completely relax.
Heavy,
Loose and deeply relaxed.
Next we'll focus on the top of our head,
Scalp all the way around,
Forehead,
Left temple,
Right temple,
Eye muscles,
Jaw and chin,
Neck all the way around,
Left shoulder blade,
Right shoulder blade,
All the way down your spine,
Back to your buttock,
Left buttock,
Right buttock.
Now deep breath in,
Tense and release that breath.
Completely relaxed,
Heavy,
Loose and relaxed.
So we're going to go to our left hip,
Left eye,
Knee,
Behind the knee,
Calf muscle,
Chin,
Left ankle,
Top of the foot,
Bottom of the foot,
Big toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe,
Fifth toe.
So deep breath in,
Tense,
Leg and foot and relax now.
Heavy,
Loose and relaxed.
Let's go to your right hip,
Your right thigh,
Top of the knee,
Behind the knee,
Right calf muscle,
Right chin,
Ankle,
Top of the foot,
Sole of the foot,
Big toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe,
Fifth toe.
Deep breath in,
Tense the right side and relax.
Heavy,
Loose and relaxed.
Nice breath normally.
Feel how deeply relaxed you'll become,
Your body melting into the floor,
Into the pillow behind you.
So focus on your heart centre,
Your sternum,
The middle of your chest.
See if you can feel some warmth in that area.
And now to see if we can visualise a bright light coming out of the sternum,
Almost like switching a light bulb in that area.
And the very gives of light come out of your chest,
Into the air,
Into the sides,
All around,
Bright light.
This is a warm healing light.
See if the light can shine all around and it's cloaking your entire body with a bright healing light.
Feel your body heat up to a nice warm temperature as the light radiates outwards,
Going down your legs to your feet,
Down your arms to your hands,
Up towards your head.
It's like your entire body is glowing bright gold and light.
Just feel warmth,
The light heals,
Calming down your body,
Tumping down the inflammation in your body,
Tumping down sensations of discomfort or pain in your body,
Deeply relaxing and healing your entire body.
This feels so good.
I want to turn up the sides of your lips into a gentle smile.
Feel the positive energy radiating out.
So I'm going to count up to 10.
With every increasing number you become more and more alert.
But you bring the lovely warm healing sensation with you throughout your day and week ahead.
One,
Two,
Three,
Wiggle your hands,
Toes,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Your arms and legs move a little bit,
Seven,
Eight,
Nine,
Ten.
Gently open your eyes and your back in the room.
Feel relaxation back in your body despite being back alert.
