Hello and welcome.
This is a short and sweet yet powerful practice to start your day.
They say that what you do in the first 20 minutes of your day sets you up for the rest.
So this is a moment of intention so that you can move through the day with grace and embodying what it is that you want to receive.
But we're not after perfection so if you're doing this at any other time in the day it's just fine.
It's an opportunity to reset,
Begin again.
So we'll jump right in,
Find a comfortable position,
Seated,
Standing or even lying,
Whatever speaks to you in this moment.
And I'll ask you to close your eyes.
This is the first way that we come into ourself is by closing the eyes,
Letting them travel into this inner world.
Perhaps now you notice the sounds around you more.
The kids on the cartoons,
The dog barking,
The car honking.
It's fine.
Just notice.
Right now you're giving yourself a couple minutes to go in.
Now we'll bring in the breath.
And I want you to breathe in and out as gently and as intently as you can.
Nice and slow.
Trying to fill your lungs up with as much air and releasing as much stress or thoughts or noise on the exhale.
And when we invite this awareness perhaps you're now noticing physical sensations or maybe even emotions.
And here too there's nothing to do.
Just notice and keep breathing nice and slow.
In and out.
And hopefully now you sense your mind perhaps quieting down and your body softening ever so slightly.
This is the power of intention,
Of presence.
This is a sacred space that you can come back to whenever you need to come back to yourself.
And in the sacred space at the beginning of this day or whenever you're sitting here,
I want you to bring to mind a word that is the feeling that you want to feel.
Perhaps it's joy,
Peace,
Abundance.
Whatever it is,
Bring this feeling,
This desire of yours to mind and move it from your mind down with your mind's eye to your heart.
And if it's easier for you to place your fingertips on your heart as if to seal it in,
You can do that.
And continue to breathe nice and slow in and out.
And feel this word,
This intention,
Seeding in this heart of yours.
And now I would like you to take one deep final breath in and out to seal this practice.
Breathe in nice and slow,
Feeling into that feeling of yours,
That desire,
That intention,
And letting it go with a breath out.
Letting it float into the universe so that it can help you,
It can sort out the details of how this manifests,
Expresses itself.
Now within your own body,
You have this feeling already.
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes,
Wiggle your fingers,
Your toes,
Stretch your shoulders,
And you are now ready to move into your day with grace and knowing that everything that you need is right there under your fingertips in your heart.
