Sat Chit Ananda Absolute truth.
Pure Consciousness and Eternal Bliss What is this Sanskrit phrase trying to tell us?
It is trying to tell us that eternal happiness.
Is possible.
Now to understand this i have divided this idea of happiness into two categories for this video mental happiness and spiritual happiness Mental happiness is a mental phenomena.
Which means that it is dependent on something.
Something outside of us,
Makes us happy.
This something on the outside can be an object It can be a person.
It can be an event.
Something makes me happy.
Maybe a house makes me happy.
Maybe my partner makes me happy.
Or maybe I'm going traveling something and that makes me happy.
This is Mental Happiness.
But if you observe,
This mental happiness is impermanent it is transitory transient which means that it is short lived.
Whatever happens on the outside.
If that makes us happy,
It is always short-lived because everything is temporary.
Everything is impermanent.
Nothing remains forever.
But there is another type of happiness spiritual happiness which is eternal happiness which is not dependent on any event on any material on any person on anything on the outside Because it is always here.
It is always an eternal phenomenon.
It is always experienced within.
And you can always come back to it.
It is not dependent on something.
And this is what Sat Chit Ananda means.
Means absolute truth.
Chit means pure consciousness.
Ananda means eternal happiness.
When we arrive at the Absolute Truth through pure consciousness,
We experience eternal happiness.
When we arrive at our true nature through presence,
Through mindfulness,
We experience eternal happiness.
So I invite you to join me in this short practice of Sat Chit Ananda.
You can allow yourself to be in your meditation posture Gradually close your eyes.
And first becoming aware of your breath Just noticing the inflow and the outflow of the breath.
And now.
.
.
In your mind's eye,
Visualize that there is a ball of light around your heart.
And if that feels comfortable you can also Now gradually.
Place your hand on your heart and feel this ball of bliss.
This is the eternal happiness.
That is already here and that is always here.
And now breathe in and out through the heart And feel this bliss ball expanding.
Gradually to your whole body.
Feel as if your heart is smiling.
Feel this boy.
Gradually spreading that bliss to your entire body.
To your entire being.
As if your whole body is smiling now.
And know your whole body is surrounded by this bliss ball connect to this eternal happiness.
That does not need a reason.
By connecting with this bliss ball.
You are happy without any reason.
