Whenever life becomes stressful or overwhelming, listening to your heart can bring you back into harmony with life and the essence of who you are. This week, I created a new guided meditation called Listen to your Heart. I hope you love it!

Transcript

So welcome to the Listen to Your Heart meditation.

I first invite you to make sure that you're sitting or laying down in a comfortable position and that during the duration of this meditation that you will not be disturbed or distracted by anything else.

So you can fully focus on going inward and listening to the source of wisdom of your heart and fully receive the message that you need at this specific moment in time.

And first allow the mind and the body to fully rest and relax in the position that you're in right now.

You can even just take a moment to become aware of your body and how it feels in this moment and also to become aware of your mind and any thoughts that might be coming up.

In this meditation we're going to give our mind and our body the permission to rest.

And we all know that sometimes it can be difficult or challenging.

And we don't have to be perfect at it.

So I invite you to imagine that you have a big bowl in front of you and you're holding it in both of your hands.

And in this bowl you can put any thoughts,

Any clutter,

Any distraction that you're currently experiencing and put it in the bowl so you no longer have to carry it with you in this meditation.

You can also release,

Let go and put any energy that you no longer want or need,

Any worries,

Thoughts or whatever it may be for you to put it all in a bowl.

And this bowl is really big so it has enough room for everything you no longer need.

Now I invite you to imagine a form of water.

So this can be a flowing river,

A well,

Maybe you're at the beach near the ocean.

You can have a feel and see yourself walking towards that form of water with the bowl in your hands.

There's no need to rush.

You can take it one step at a time.

And when you reach the water,

You can empty the bowl.

And allow the stream of water to carry all your worries,

Thoughts and energies that you no longer need and allow it to be carried away by the stream,

To be transformed into water.

And when you've emptied your bowl,

I now invite you to come back into your body and to become aware of any sensations that are in your body and to feel if you're still holding some tension in specific areas of your body.

You can just take a moment to become aware of that tension.

You can even start breathing through that area.

And with each inhale,

You breathe in and bring in more relaxation in your body,

While allowing the calmness to spread.

And with each exhale,

You can let go a little bit more of the tension that you're holding on to.

So we're now going to take three deep breaths together.

So first we're going to inhale deeply,

Allowing the relaxation to spread and come into our body.

And then we exhale again,

Releasing any tension that we're still holding on to.

And a deep inhale.

And exhale.

And again,

A deep inhale.

And now you can exhale,

Breathing out loudly,

Allowing the body to fully relax into this experience.

And we also honor the mind and everything it does for us.

It allows us to experience the diversity and uniqueness of life.

And at the same time,

We also recognize its limitations.

So that's why in this meditation,

We allow the mind to rest.

Well respecting and honoring every aspect that beholds it.

And we give our body and mind permission to rest deeply for a moment or just stop.

So we can just recharge and rejuvenate.

Lower connecting deeply to our hearts.

Now we're going to make the conscious choice to deeply connect to our inner self,

The soul within,

By communicating with our heart.

And to start with,

You can put one or both hands on top of your heart,

Whatever feels most comfortable for you.

And allow yourself to breathe through the space where your heart resides.

You can become aware of every inhale that your heart and your chest expands.

And at every exhale,

It caves in again.

And comes back.

Just allow yourself to breathe through that chest area where your heart resides in.

You also know that your heart is,

Especially when we speak of the energetic heart,

It's way bigger than just your physical heart.

We have a whole electromagnetic field that goes even far beyond our body.

And while breathing through this area,

Allow the feelings,

Emotions and sensations that reside within your heart to expand and become stronger with each breath.

And when we communicate with the heart or anything else,

It is essential to know that the answers can come through visions,

Sounds,

Sensations,

Feelings,

Inner knowing and infinite ways.

And there's no right or wrong way for messages to come through or for your heart to speak to you.

Know that the heart tends to communicate really strongly through feelings,

Emotions and sensations because our heart represents the emotional body,

The feeling body.

So we're now going to set the intention to communicate with the heart and to be open and receptive for the messages it has for us.

And you can now repeat after me within yourself or out loud.

Just do what feels right to you.

If you can hear me,

Please let me know what it feels like when you say yes to me.

Dear heart,

If you can hear me,

Please say yes to me.

Loudly this time,

So I'm sure that you're able to hear me.

Dear heart,

Please let me know what it feels like when you say no to me.

Dear heart,

Please let me know what it feels like when you say yes and no loudly to me.

Now we're becoming aware of how your heart communicates yes and no.

And this is a beautiful simple way of communicating with your heart.

You can continue to repeat how many times you want to.

We're now going to intend to deepen the conversation with your heart if it wishes to.

Because just like you,

Your heart has free will.

And it will always act and communicate in a way that is in your highest good.

So you can now ask your heart and again repeat after me within yourself or out loud.

Dear heart,

What do you wish to communicate with me in this moment?

What is the message I need to receive right now?

And when you feel like you received a message that your heart wishes to communicate,

You can ask any other questions that you may have,

Or you can continue to listen to what is communicating with you.

Dear heart,

What do you wish to communicate with your heart?

What is the message I need to receive right now?

And if you want to continue communicating with your heart,

Then I invite you to pause this meditation for now.

And just continue when you're ready to.

Know that there's no need to rush your force.

And when you feel like you're ready to move on,

We are now going to bring this meditation to a close.

And we're going to do this by thanking the heart.

Dear heart,

I thank you with love for connecting me to the source of wisdom within.

I thank you for keeping me alive with the rhythm of every heartbeat.

I thank you for your love,

Compassion,

And understanding.

I thank you for everything you do for me,

For everything I'm aware of and unaware of.

And I want you to know that I love you.

You can now allow yourself to fully come back into your body.

You can even move your body a little,

Your shoulders,

Your hands,

Your feet.

And allow your awareness,

Your presence to fully come back to this moment,

And be aware of the room you're in,

The position of your body,

And how you're feeling right now in this moment.

And when you feel ready,

You can take a deep breath in.

And exhale.

Open your eyes again.
